  1. I’m on there but I never wrote that, I don’t have a gay son :S

    1. Hamish –

      You are quoted as follows:

“Peter Tatchell, Thank you for all your great work campaigning not only for LGBT equality but all that you have done to better this world.

We still have plenty to change but you have had a massive impact on making this world a better place, thank you!!”
      Hamish

Perhaps you read into the following comment…

      1. Oh cool thanks, think I must have read a later one :S

  2. Peter Thatchell is a truely inspirational figure. He has significantly contributed to making our society, and some of others’, a fairer and more humane one.

Thank you so much for constantly standing up for human rights and equality in the UK and around the world. I hope that in the years to come you will be remembered by future generations as the great human rights figure you are.

  3. Thanks for everything, Peter. You have stuck your neck out for lgbt rights and human rights in general at times when lots of people had sharp axes. You are a towering hero of our times. Happy birthday and all good wishes in everything you do.

  4. Congratulations to Peter Tatchell! He is an inspiration to all of us who care about equal rights.

I came here via a link at glbtq.com. I am glad that Tatchell is getting international attention on his birthday! Here is a link back to glbtq.com, which has more information about Peter: glbtq.com.

Again, thank you, Peter Tatchell, for all you have done.

  5. Reading all these supportive comments is such an edifying experience.

Thank you Joseph McCormick and Pink News.

    1. Thank you, Peter, for all your hard, dangerous and painful work. You’re an inspiration, as ever. big hugs…

  6. Thanks for your bravery and committment Peter.

  7. Allow yourself to wallow in our thanks and gratitude, Peter. It’s about bloody time! We are indebted to your tirelessly efforts to improve our lot over the decades while just scraping a living to get by most of the time. Your virtuousness is an inspiration – and a lesson – to us all. Now, you are probably itching to get started on your next mission to fight for the rights of others and improve the quality of ever more lives, but please, take some time for yourself and allow some of the love you show for others rain down on you.

  8. Thank goodness Peter Tatchell decided to come to the UK form Oz all those years ago. He embodies a kind of selflessness and integrity that has almost disappeared from public life. Thank you Peter; you are a National Treasure. x

  9. Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday dear Pe-ter! Happy Birthday to You! I’d offer to give you the bumps but I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of them already in your tireless campaigning! I just wanted to perhaps echo what others have said and that is to thank you for having the courage of your convictions and for making a stand at times throughout history when you have been vilified for it. History has hopefully shown you to be a trendsetter, setting the neccessary standards for how humans should treat each other at times when sadly, the general public hasn’t caught up. The world needs people like you to challenge conventional ignorance and discrimination and to show it for what it is. I personally am grateful to you for putting your neck out when others daren’t. Here’s to many more years of kicking at the boundaries.
