Congratulations to christopher Plummer on his award.

But does anyone ever question Ewan Mcgregor as he is always playing a gay role or in a gay themed role. Look at ” I love You Phillip Morris.”

He seems to be very comfortable playing gay roles or in films portraying gay issues.

To me he comes across very ambiguous. even though he is quite a handsome man.

He’s just very comfortable in his own sexuality and has no issues with any elses.

James Franco is about to play his 4th gay role.

      1. Ewan MacGregor and James Franco are stealing roles from gay actors.

We are constantly being told by the Hollywood PR industry that if an actor was to come out then he would not be able to continue his career owing to the fact that the movie audience would be reluctant to accept a gay star in a lead role.

Yet there seems no repercussions for a straight actor in playing a gay role (often they are commended for their ‘bravery’).

It’s all bull of course. The reason gay actors stay in the closet is because of greed.

Congratulations to Christopher Plummer on his award. But if the Hollywood PR machine keeps repeating the lie that coming out is dangerous for an actor’s career, then they need to start addressing this problem.

I expect them to start by offering gay roles to openly gay actors (there are several gay roles in movies and 100% of the time they are played by straight actors).

  2. Straight man playing gay roles? It’s called acting. Unfortunately not enough other way around roles for gay actors. Still, there are. I admire the subject, story, message regardless of actors sexuality.

Congratulations to Christopher Plummer. I have always admired his acting abilities especially at the Stratford Festival here.
