Particularly offensive is the moronic comment given by 1 of the contestants that she was fighting for ‘equality’ by getting judged on how she looks in a bikini.
She clearly would make a good beauty queen thanks to her obvious lack of intelligence.
Being judged like a lump of meat does not promote equality.
I know some highly intelligent beauty queens, certainly more intelligent than some of the illiterate posters here.
If they are going to have these contests, they may as well make them progressive. A previous Miss California was eventually sacked for making homophobic remarks about marriage equality, so perhaps this will prevent such a creature becoming Miss California again.
A contest where a woman is judged solely on how she looks in a bikini can never be progressive ( I know that some beauty queen contestants want world peace and love children but that’s just to disguise the fact that she is being judged on the shape of her a*** and t***.).
It is a contradiction to claim that a beauty contest is progressive.
Any competition which judges people solely on their perceived ‘beauty’ is regressive and obsolete.
And this is an American beauty contest.
Why does Pink News think that their British readers could care less about such a non-story.
I think this story has been lifted from Towleroad.
It’s perfectly fine if Pink News source their stories from US websites, but the Pink News editor really should ask ‘Has this story any relevance to the website audience?’
Point is no-one forces these people to enter so it’s called free will. If it was forced I might agree with you but it’s just fun david… something you should learn about!

What an appalling excuse for a news story.
What is the news interest in some American bimbos being judged on how they look in bikinis.
Shame on Pink News. You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this pile of nothing story.

Clearly the answer in this case was a loud no.
We are talking about California, where Everyone is judged on their looks.
Point is no-one forces these people to enter so it’s called free will. If it was forced I might agree with you but it’s just fun david… something you should learn about!
Indeed A N Spit!
Indeed, never judge a book by it cover dAVID!!
You mean like Mr Gay UK etc?
Do get over it deary!!
Sorry, PN, but this “story” is as vacuous as some of the contestants in this pageant!
And why should any of the contestant’s sexuality matter anyway?
Surely people should be ‘judged’ (if they have to be) on being people, not on being straight, gay, lesbian…
