  1. Congratulations and well done.

You did not specify the position taken by Msaada (the group for which you are raising money for) on LGBT rights.

Please confirm that Msaada respects LGBT human rights, and takes a clear, outspoken position against homophobia and please post a link to where we can confirm this.

I personallly would want that guarantee before I would make any type of donation.

Like South Africa, Rwanda in spite of it’s recent past has become a beacon of hope in Africa. While social homophobia is a problem, the country does not criminalize homosexuality. In order for a country to be helped, it has to help itself and Rwanda has shown that it is prepared to put it’s messy past behind it, unlike it’s larger neighbour, the poisonously corrupt and homophobic Uganda where foreign aid money gets spent on a private jet for the President who supports David Bahiti’s ‘Hang Gays’ private bill.

    Hi David
Msaada was founded by Joanna Lumley and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, two prominent LGBT rights activitists.

I can personally guarantee that, having met the director, Msaada’s position is very open on LGBT human rights, but their primary focus is helping the people of Rwanda most affected by the genocide.

Is it not insensitive to mix stories about having to pay killers for the privilege of being shot with a gun instead of being hacked by a machette and the writer’s own personal thrills of David Guetta in the same article??
