Canaan Banana was notorious for sexually harassing his bodyguards. If you think about Robert Mugabe’s rapid rise through government, and his notorious current irrational hatred of anything relating to homosexuality, it’s not a big leap from Mr Mugabe onto Canaan’s Banana.

If this story is remotely true, I’m a banana.

  3. “Nothing optional—from homosexuality to adultery—is ever made punishable unless those who do the prohibiting (and exact the fierce punishments) have a repressed desire to participate. As Shakespeare put it in King Lear, the policeman who lashes the whore has a hot need to use her for the very offense for which he plies the lash.”

The former president of Zimbabwe the Reverend Canaan Banana has denied accusations of homosexuality among his cabinet. The statement was cosigned by Cardinal Moses Pineapple, The Reverend Nadabningi Toffeeapple, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Robert Rhubarbe.

Oh Lordy! I don’t think thoses Rhodesians were any better! I think they hated us LGBT’s too! You bet my Cox apples on it!

  5. Oh Lordy Mama! The poor man was raped by the catholic priests that raised him as boy. Would somebody cut him some slack???! The media only ever focuses on his demonic behaviour, when he had actually achieved some great progress in his life. You try changing Rhodesia into Zimbabwe, and then you get to sit in judgement of this man.

    1. If the poor man were able to demonstrate that bhe could distinguish the vast difference between paedophiles, who systematically torture & rape children, and LGBT’s who have consenting relationships, we might then cut him some slack..

If you are saying he his engaging in a personal vendetta because he was raped as a child, LGBT’s are the wrong target.

Well at least Ian Smith and Rhodesia demonstrated the ability to keep its people clothed and fed, which is more than this rabble has ever done. South Africa is now following Zimbabwe’s example and will be the same in the next 20 years. Do these people never learn?

Ian Smith only cared about himself to be honest. And as for this “rabble”, I have not seen any naked Zimbabweans running around my Country just yet, so consider us clothed. And calm down, South Africa will not be following this route either. X

Can you clarify what you mean by “these people”?

  6. What an ugly thought.

Perhaps a nod to democracy would be to remove the law that prohibits insulting the ruler… regardless of his supposed stature and greatness.
