She isn’t going to win, so this is just a meaningless piece of blather. What is important to note is that Michele is a wingnut Dominionist who believes that a wife should be subservient to her husband, so he has his eye on fare more power than he would ever be entitled. Of course, all that assumes she would win. Which she won’t.

There isn’t even a remote chance that Michelle Bachmann will win the nomination, but now we know what kind of people religious fundamentalism produces…and it’s their choice, innit.

      1. There isn’t even a remote chance that Michelle Bachmann will win the nomination – to which the only possible answer is, Thank God!

If serial adulterer New Gringrich wins, this will put a nail in the coffin of the same-sex marriage haters. If anyone is doing a very good job harming marriage, it’s Gingrich, now on his third wife and recently received into the Catholic cult. Hypocrisy loves bigotry, the Catholic cult notwithstanding.

For Marcus, marriage will only ever be a union between one gay man and one woman.

    1. I can see why anyone would draw that conclusion, but – eeuw! I don’t want to consider him even accidentally a gay man, he’s such a repulsive specimen.

  5. It might come as something of a surprise to this overblown idiot … but he doesn’t have any “White House status” … he would be only the spouse of the President and therefore has no Constitutional role whatsoever!!! NOT that his dim-witted wife is likely to win anything, never mind a Presidential election!

    Post a reply →
    1. Well since she believes she should be ruled by her husband after God, people would in effect be voting for him too.

Hmmm, the irony here is that Marcus Bachman has better odds of having a gay marriage than he has of setting foot in the Whitehouse – though honestly if he keeps bitching the rate that he’s bitching I don’t rate his chances of that either.

  8. Even if Bachmann had any chance of winning – which she doesn’t … I wasnt aware that the partner of the President had any role in determining social policy …

…So how long before he’s found in a public lavatory at an airport with another man in his underpants?

(…and if so can we stop this stupid game please, conservative America…?)

She won’t be winning in d ist place,so the Batmans i mean Bachmanns can go on with thier soon to be over chanting. Obama won as he will win again, by protecting people regardless of who or what they are not by breaking homes and making people unwelcomed in America which is the propaganda the Bachmanns propose. God help America.

  12. If there was a God, Marcus Bachmann would be dead now. Clearly he’s not. His and his wife’s bleatings about what the Bible says, or the religious view of this, that or the other are therefore total nonsense.

He’s a moron, she’s worse. Neither of them will amount to anything. They are just sucking up the world’s resources from those who could usefully do more with them.

(For clarity, I’m not a fan)

  14. “Nothing optional—from homosexuality to adultery—is ever made punishable unless those who do the prohibiting (and exact the fierce punishments) have a repressed desire to participate. As Shakespeare put it in King Lear, the policeman who lashes the whore has a hot need to use her for the very offense for which he plies the lash.”
