Well then, time to sue the crap out of the school and the people who let it happen.

Unfortunately, these tend to be bird-dog form lots of angles.

Reason #1024567857 NOT to encourage defenseless, too young kids to ‘come out’ – Gaga and Hollywood can;t be there to protect them when sh*t goes down, and kids need to grow up, get some support behind them and stand on their own 2 feet first. Not the way I like, but it’s what we got.

    1. Many gay teens are bullied (often for their sexuality) years before they come out to themselves, never mind to anyone else. And many others are taunted because they are perceived to be gay, even if they are straight.

You are right that vulnerable people and those in hostile places should think carefully about whether coming out might make their situation worse.

But coming out is not the cause of bullying, and there is a dangerous movement in the US right now by anti-gay groups to pretend that it is.

If you watch Jamie’s IGB video, he was being bullied about being gay before he identified publicly as bi or gay. To judge from Jamie’s videos, the experience of coming out and being accepted by his family and some of his friends was one of the brightest parts of his life, even if in the end it could not heal the pain of feeling hated and rejected by some of his peers.

    2. When my friend came out in high school people stopped bullying him for being gay. In some sort of odd twisted logic it was better for him to say “I am gay so what” than to be seen as an “effeminate” heterosexual or a “closet case”.
The people who bullied him had no come back, when they would shout poofter/fag/gay boy and he’d just say, “yeah I’m gay”. After a while they just let him be and everyone was friends in 6th form.
It’s not the case for everyone, which is why it’s dangerous to say come out in highschool but it’s equally dangerous to encourage some people to stay in the closet.

      1. Don Harrison 23 Nov 2011, 6:02pm

I should have done that too, but that was in the 1960’s when it was still illegal in the UK

  2. TheBrutalKremlin 23 Nov 2011, 10:56am

Ps. and that goes for the ‘GLEE’ peopel too, they need to stfu. That Kurt character is so unreal, and leading very young people into danger.

    1. In what way is the character leading children into danger? If anything his story is something that bullied teens can relate to. Yes, it’s glee – it’s not real world but at least it’s getting the issue spoken about.

I agree though that this school needs to be held accountable. They have a legal respoinsibility to provide care for their students while they are there. If they have failed in that so comprehensively then they really should be running.

Of course, the cynic in me says that no prosecutor in the land will want to land this case – after all why should any well standing American want to assist gay people?

    2. Locus Solus 23 Nov 2011, 12:34pm

      I partly agree,
Charichters like Kurt in Glee are just mega sterotypes, bascially most of the shows on TV at the moment show gay people as super effemitnite, socially akward wierdos who wear fur coats on tropical beaches, are unproductive less they be hairdressers or artists (see Shipwrecked – “Kitten”).

I really liked the first few series of Skins because they showed what (I think) the vast majority of gay teens are like (Maxxie). Day to day regular guys who like guys, but they don’t try to hide it, and proudly declare they have a boyfriend.

        -Edited those nasty mistakes :$

      2. David Myers 24 Nov 2011, 6:18am

You miss the point. Gay and Lesbian kids come in all forms including what you call stereotypes – and yes, some gay kids are effeminate – so what! Get over it. They too have the right to be who they are and not be bullied for it. Also, learn to spell.

        1. Locus Solus 24 Nov 2011, 12:01pm

In summary, it doesn’t matter if you’re an effeminate tool or a straight tool; you’re going to get ripped on for being a tool! Nobody should be bullied for being effeminate, I just wish that wasn’t the only view of gay people presented by the media.

Finally, thanks for pointing out my spelling mistakes, it’s important to be ABSOLUTELY accurate with spelling when presenting an idea on an online forum, avoiding any potential ambiguity. However do try to read the follow up post correcting them before making your…”point.” When you don’t properly read a person’s post fully, then go on to complain about said post, it makes you look like a dipsh*t.

  3. “I think a message has been sent.”

The only message sent is that you can bully someone and get away with it.

    1. I don’t think so, they’ve learned that bullying isn’t just a laugh, it can have deadly consequences.

      1. But that is exactly what they were aiming for (messages encouraging to kill himself), and that is exactly what happened. And they got away with it! That’s the message!

        1. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:20am

Exactly and the message has been sent that bullying someone to death because they happen to have been born Gay has no consequences for those evil enough to do it.

    2. Miguel Sanchez 23 Nov 2011, 3:07pm

Not so, NY law tied their hands. No one in the police department is happy that the people behind this are skating.

I think a civil action is the answer now.

  4. Time to sue the pants of the school for not doing enough. They cannot deny they didn’t know what was going on.

Poor Jamie, my heart goes out to you. RIP lad. xx

  5. No justice. The family needs to sue the school for failing its duty of care and, arguably, sue those who were bullying for the wrongful death of their son (given that civil cases have a lower standard of proof than criminal). I would name and shame every one of them, put their details out for the world to see so that when they are old enough to start applying for jobs, or getting in to serious relationships, people can see the true measure of their character. Oh and pretty please, heteros, would you mind awfully stopping spewing your bigotry and KILLING children.

  6. Cambodia Guesthouse 23 Nov 2011, 11:30am

I agree 100% with ‘Valksy’ above.

    This is disgraceful.

As GaGa said, bullying must become a hate crime!

    1. Oh you are back! Just as poisonous I see. Have you been to the doctor yet? Or has he signed you off as having something that can’t be cured? A basket case… well and truly Keith… You really do say something about yourself spouting all this hate. I suppose you react with rage if a gay person accidentally bumps into you?

      1. David Millar 23 Nov 2011, 2:44pm

well, in the UK we can actually start to do something about this by supporting the LGBT History month in Feb 2012 and the work they are championing in schools. Those in authority over kids, who need to know some hard facts, dont read these blogs – unfortunately.

        1. Stuart Browning 23 Nov 2011, 3:45pm

          Section 23 should be reintroduced.
LGBT History month, just another excuse for homosexuals to force their lifestyles onto others.

          1. In what way exactly? Have you ever actually attended an LGBT history month event which was recruiting? Or are you simply basing this on sweet FA?

          2. Stuart Browning 23 Nov 2011, 11:02pm

Why would I want to attend an event full of homos and lesbos?

          3. Why indeed.

Obsession, the new fragrance from Stuart Browning.

          4. Or is it simply another of Keith’s sockpuppets? Funny how when Keith stops posting, Stuart starts.

          5. I notice that too.

And they have the same obsession with gay sex and gay men. What ARE the odds….?

          6. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:31am

          7. Why would you want to hang around commenting on a news site for “homos and lesbos”?

          8. Lord Botley 24 Nov 2011, 10:18am

I really have no idea, but everyone will be heartily relieved at your absence.

          9. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:30am

mmmm coz you happen to be a big fat homo yaself prehaps?

          10. The fact you think it was ‘section 23’ tells us all we need to know about your seering insight into politics.

          11. PMSL! Way to go Flapjack!

          12. My comment below is intended as a reply. But I also wish to ask a further point. If you feel LGBT history month is an excuse to force our lifestyle upon others, do you similarly argue that Black History month should be done away with to discourage them forcing their lifestyle upon others as well?

          13. Stuart Browning 23 Nov 2011, 11:03pm

Yes @ Kris Black History Month should be banned too.

          14. Why? Do they enourage you or others around you to “black up” or something?

          15. Unlike the other 12 months of the year when it is heterosexual history month.

I think you should be sectioned !!

          16. We are not forcing an LGBT lifestyle onto others. These religious nutcases can preach all they like, but I choose not to listen to it; you can choose not to listen to us. No one is forcing you to accept our way of life. You just have to be careful not to break any laws when discriminating against the LGBT community!!!

If you don’t like it, go back to the cave and block up the doorway!

          17. Stuart Browning 23 Nov 2011, 11:05pm

I must always break laws having my free views and opinions about the LGBT community, but do so in a way that cant be taken as discrimination, and if the homosexuals do, then its their problem not mine.

          18. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:31am

Get a life and stop nicking everyone elses!

          19. Do you mean section 28 or are you so stupid you can’t even troll properly?

          20. “Section 23 should be reintroduced.”

            But its not.

            Oh, well. You keep trying.

            We’ll keep laughing at you.

          21. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:29am

23 LOL you idiot!!! you just make yourself a bigger laughing stock don’t you…

  7. Encouraging somebody to kill themself isn’t illegal? What the hell.

  8. “Bullying is a fact of life, you either deal with it yourself or you get someone else to.”

Then tell us where you live Stuart?

    1. More then a stupid member of the religious “ex-gay” moment like you could do. At least my comments stay here…. I’d call that a start, freak.

    2. “Gay Disorder Community”. How witty. Your talents are clearly being wasted on your keyboard. You really should be out there sharing this gold with the whole world

  9. We desperately need the right to offend people why?

How often do you find yourself using the phrase that’s political correctness gone mad?

  10. Another life lost to iggnorance and stupidity. Nobody was their to support him in life, no justice in death.

  11. Stuart Browning 23 Nov 2011, 3:44pm

Lady Gaga needs to butt out, she is a f**ing weirdo, who is only do this ‘support’ for her own self promotion.

Also if this kid wrote blogs then he clearly did not have the guts to go and tell people or stand up to people.

Being that this is in America, they have First Amendment, where they have free speech and have the right to offend.

Suicide use to be a criminal offense, but was De-criminalised.

So the fault really lies with his parents, who should have taught him to speak up.

Right outcome for me in this matter, homosexual are always blaming others, without looking at their own doing and actions FIRST.

    1. Hey Stuart, can we come round and bully you mercilessly for a couple of years and see how well you deal with it ?

After all the fault for the bullying and the outcome wouldn’t lie with us – it would be your parents fault.

      1. Tell us where you live then, coward…..

    2. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:21am

Didn’t bother reading but guess this comment from Keith is as predictable as ever!! Yawn.

  12. carrie baker 23 Nov 2011, 11:13pm

Republican bigots an racists, as well as others , they are perpertratators of evil and violence an terrorism , they are the cause of countless young children like this one committing suicides everyday, or harrased at schools because of bad republican hetersexual parents, an hate republican religions, the casualties are at the highest almost in history because of racist an bigots out break in wars and kaos, instigated by none other than republican biggots in every country they are the problem the people and bad families who are causing problems an trouble and kaos for other peace families, good families and loving families, harrassed daily by political republican bigots or religious republican biggots who are not real christians , but real bible carrying hippocrites, until you catch them with their pants down in hotels wiith little boys like philip hinkle and ted haggard an eddie long, all racist republican biggots and hippocrite oh did we mentions all lying about being good christians

  13. carrie baker 23 Nov 2011, 11:20pm

The racist and and bigoted Republicans dont give a damn about the lives of children , no good person could stand by and watch children being harrassed and bullied even to the point of suicides without being in an out rage an marching to schools an courts and lawyers to get something done about it , but their heart are evil and not right, they can watch a gay or minortiy kid get killed or violated because some are perverts and pedehiles to their own children, others just dont care aboout other families just their own, and the men cares about no one not even their own every body to the hetersexul men just looks like a peice of ass , like a dog bone, everyday, thats as for as their brain goes, just as crazy and dangerous peo0ple, yes, racist are the enemy to everyone because it badly effects almost everyone, the demon becomes more of a demom for the ab;use and terrorism and the victums hurt and mourn the abuse or casulaties of the perpertrating bigotted republicans and other bigots,

These are people kids and loved ones, no one has the right to try and harm them in anyway , if they have not done anything to your and they havent, its Republicans spite , maliciousness and jealousy, intimidations, its evil its wrong, put all the biggots on the court seats and let the audience seat in the jury boxes and ask the biggots how about we reverse the harrassment and assaults, and violations on to your famiies, lets stalk and meddle, and try an mess with your human and constituions rights, lets try and mess of your supposeldyly happy lives , every day , lets for no reason at all will not go on about our lives , but choose to put our mouth full of lies and defamations on to your famiies calling you names and trying to hurt you, just for spite , you havent done nothing to us and actually we go way out of our way just too cause you trouble when we should be about our own business attending our on families , but we stalk you meddle you, obssess with you and your famiies , how man

      hang on…

  15. carrie baker 23 Nov 2011, 11:33pm

How many of these biggots, do you think would raise their hands in a court room and say hey lets let the other people harrass our kids and us and try to cause trouble for us everyday, oh that would be fun for us, I dont think so, then me as a judge a good judge a human rights and fair judge, would stand up and put my gavel down, and take out a gun from my desk and say you creeps and savages and beasts, you have caused the murders of innocent lives and malisiously distrurned theere families day in and day out, you are more dangerous than this gun that i hold before you, you have cause more damage and casulaties, with your mouths and your abuse, and yet you vile people yet have not seen enough blood shed of childfen and heart ache of parents , you want to march up into our courts and ask us to help you wretches , to to continue to violate theise people with you, in other words become gangsters and trouble makeers with you , instead of be peace citizens of fairness and promoting harmony

    1. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:23am

  16. carrie baker 23 Nov 2011, 11:45pm

I would tell the courts that they are weak ass wimps and part of the corruptions for not standing up to harm and violence and assaults of families, no matter what color or gender, or orientation they may be, the courts job is to access the damages, see who caused the damages, who is the instigator and perpatrator of the peaceful party the innocent families not mistreating others and doing others harm just trying to live their own lives with their friends andf families, assess the damages of the viles biggots, the emotional damage and the physicsal damages from racist and bigots and throw the book at them for their evils and terrorism, because not would stand and raise their hands and say i would want to be mistreated like i mistreat others , abuses like i abuse others, I would then let them know after throwing the book at them and reprimanding the in the fullest, that if i every hear tell of them or their famiies bothering other innocsent families out of racism I will arrest them

    1. David Myers 24 Nov 2011, 6:29am

Carrie Baker: You must notice that people in general do ot vote up or answer your long multiple part comments very often. For those of us who take the time to try and figure out what you are actually saying, it is sometimes tempting to give you an up vote. Your heart is in the right place. But, English is either not your first language or you have had very little training in expressing yourself clearly and consisely. Please learn to make your statements much briefer and to the point. Spelling and grammer would help as well. Wishing you the best because of your intent, even if it fails in application.

Afghanastan, government and police department must be held for crimes against humaninty, the re victumizing a rape victum or any victum is a crime by the government an the police department an a major human rights crime, You cannot have terrorist like those foreingn govenments like Alfganastan in parliments making decisions for the communities, because they are already abusers themselves an corrupt, they already vilolate the womens and childrens rights, in everyway, including the banned berakas in other countreis for womens abuses by the same men in their governments who are just terrrorist, like gadafi and husein, you cannot have men who rape women sit on a court seat and in th police department an jugde the victums that they too rape and victumize, many women in the uhited states has wised up and starting coming forward about thier rapes an assautls at the hand of evil men and husbands, because if they dont they will end up dead like many has, they dont stop because you are silent

    1. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:25am

      yeah but…

  21. carrie baker 24 Nov 2011, 1:10am

You must not ever allow men who rape and abuse the human rights of women in any country to sit on parliments, you must get them for crimes against humanity, Just like the same men try and make rules about womens bodies health and abortions rights , or not , women need to be encouraged to give the child if they dont want it to someone who do, but if the womans health is endangered because of the preganancy, she has a right not to carry a pregnacy for health complicantions and fatality, The man who should keep his peinis in his pants and wear protection, is quilty of the womens prdoblems in the first place , they have know right the abuser and misuser and cause of the problems to to delegate anything to thei victums of their evils and like rape, and pregnacy, some evil men even try and violate birth control, but yet the same men rape their own chldren and kill them in many countreis and the usa, Alfagans court must be on trial and reprimanded for revicumizing a woman who had been raped,

    1. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:25am

      no but….

  22. carrie baker 24 Nov 2011, 1:16am

Many women, have been silent in the past , but they realize the abuse of rape and beating only get worse if they are silient, even under threat they must tell and report it, because it only will get worse and the evil man will continute to harm other women and children if you dont stop him , and the women must save lives, of othes as well as hers, women in foreing countries have been more slow to act out of fear and being scared of being abused again and even by the government and crooked corrupt govermnents and cops like what has just taken place , anyone with common sense should even know that the woman was frightend especially also because of the baby, from the rape, those corrupt Alfagan governments and cops must be reprimanded Hillary Clinton and obama, and the internationaal human right, Ippf has to stop the revictumizing of violated victums by the corrupt abusive governments who commit the same kinds of crimes themselves on others, and women, men terroriorist , on court seats

    1. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:26am

      but… oh…

  23. carrie baker 24 Nov 2011, 1:28am

Just like racism has cost this young man his life because of evil raists harrassers and bullies, that terrorize, the Alfagan goverment, and police force are the same bully terrouriest against women and others, the same racist against women and others their evil character have even driven them in many cases to outwardly voice that they think they are better than women, and its the other way around, the hetersexxual men where called vipors beasts and savages, by the masshaih, in that bible the so called christian carry but he told them to honor the women and children with love, they do the opposite, they are indeed the lowest form of evil to the highest form of corruptions and evil in our socitey, uncivilized and barbaric, demons of of treachary and vile and assault no one in the nation has commitedd the kind of crimes agiainst humanity like hetersexual men has , the nations worst weapon on society, no one is safe because they are in our society, rappest murders, pede[philes racist,

  24. In a police state like the US the only way to get justice is be related to one of the 1% or have a lot of money like OJ who paid millions for his freedom from murdering his wife. Only the rich can afford justice.

  25. Lord Botley 24 Nov 2011, 10:20am

Some sort of civil action against the school could be appropriate and effective. We have a legal principle of ‘duty of care’ in the UK – how does it work in NY State/USA?

  26. . If you feel LGBT history month is an excuse to force our lifestyle upon others, do you similarly argue that Black History month should be done away with to discourage them forcing their lifestyle upon others as well?

  27. Jock S. Trap 15 Dec 2011, 9:18am

This is just wrong and send a completely wrong message that this kind of bullying behaviour is acceptable. Is this the price of religious freedom? That it can kill innocent children because it’s texts say so?
