Many congratulations also Peter, I don’t always agree with your points of view but I truly believe that my world would be a poorer place without you. You deserve this.

    1. I couldn’t agree more.

  3. I echo the comment above from Sophie.

You devoted your life to helping others and fighting for equality and human rights… often at great personal cost both financially and to your health.

Many of us take for granted the efforts of others to achieve the rights we ALL enjoy. I often hear the term “he does not speak for ME”… Maybe not, but you all enjoy the rights today that people like Peter have fought long and hard for!

Congratulations of this small ‘thank you’ Peter.. Very well deserved!

  4. Why does your headline draw a distinction between gay rights and human rights? Gay rights ARE human rights!

A prophet often crying in the wilderness, often at huge personal cost, who has influenced the world hugely for the better. Well done Peter, and thoroughly deserved.

  9. Well done, Peter, you so deserve it. You tireless efforts to make the world a better place are immense. Thank you for everything you continue to do for the LGBT community both at home and around the world, one of the very few who has the courage to speak out when others wouldn’t. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  10. Congratulations, Peter.

Whilst I may not always agree with how you perceive some matters – I do recognise that your work of many years has been a significant influence in advancing human rights (for all) in the UK and elsewhere …

Your work has been, and continues to be, committed and determined.

    A recognition well deserved.

    1. What sort of job do you have, Stuart?

      1. He gets paid for writing his signature every week at the dole office.

        Isn’t that right, Keith?

        Post a reply →
      2. Maybe it would be better to ask whether his name was changed officially?

or is he still Keith underneath all that ?

I am reminded about the true story of the white racist biggot in the whitehouse along time ago , who hurt many minorites, a slave owner, abuser , but one day the old evil wicked man got old, he really did not have any real white friends only in pretense when they met in kkk klan hall meeting to do others wrong and to form conspiracies against others, at tea parties where they even disrespected and mistreated even the white women who some are still fools, about their racist history like sally kern not remembering they too where inslaved to big house with no voice and vote, just pretty dress when needed to use to make a guest appearance, now uppity haughty pioused bitches in women just as racist as their own enemy of yesteryear and even in thier own house hold where cry in to thier milliondollar mascara, at the abuse and neglect as wife to tenderness and true love , unloved for real, and a marriage which is not the real deal, b;ut yet they seem to find time to make others feel bad sad

The old wicked white wretch of a man, bigooted and abuser , terroreist, all of his so called white colleages and friends dumped him like a hot potato, when all of his money ran out do to a market bad decision of his. and the White evil man came on televisions to defend an old colored negro woman and a few of her children that still lived in the house and took care of him when they should have been gone and could have been nursed his white racist ass the same garbabe trash the ab;use her and her family, day in and day out, his own familiy would not come see him or have nothing to do with him except when it was time he was going to die , they wanted the big house he live in, and wanted to fight over it, he Then came out on tv. and told his story of how he indeed was one of the most wretched men in the world, for what he had done to the minorites, and made a statement to the people that he left his house to the old colored woman an her few colored kids , because it was ritefuly theirs

So racists and bigots and prejudice are just plainly before your eyes everyday , evil and dangerous people , they are number one reasons for wars , and bloodshed, and harrasment, meddleng, instigated abuses, assaults, all wicked unstable people who produce what their evil character delegates and that is evil and abuses injutistices, because their foundations an stucture is evil, and evil from evil is evil, its implementations are evil, its instigator is satan and he is evil, and his evil chidren produces his evil character of hate and malice, spite , fighting and terrorizing, hurting , harming, all because it cannot produce good because it is no good, stop being blind, in racism their is nothing kind, its a deviant and destrctive mind,, polution , that must have and active solution, to save humanity from its insanity

But people are evil, and always have been , until their asses are in the hot water and then they dont care who takes thier hand if they are colored or gay, the hipppocrites and evil people are just low down like that , they must be stopped and you dont want your children growning up to be like that , just walking in love because you love them , and want them to harm no one and want no one to harm them that humanity,

Well said, Samuel, I couldn’t agree more with your comment about Stonewall. They should be casting their net wider for its awards, and acknowledging overlooked but well-known LGBT folk like Peter, but also those of us who work on the ‘front line’ of our communities, often voluntarily, with no recognition or support from the mainstream.
