  1. Civil unions should only ever be seen as a stepping stone towards full equality and the danger is that people get complacent and stop campaigning once they have them. They are good but not good enough.

    Civil unions —” the measure will give gay couples almost all of the rights of marriage” — almost all. That says it right there/ Four is almost five but it isn’t quite five. Almost is NOT equal.

    Lets make it a Hawaii Five-0 percent – then Five-One percent and get gay marriages approved in a referendum during next year’s Presidentian Election!
