Gay rights charity Stonewall has launched a job website with vacancies from gay-friendly employers.

ProudEmployers.org.uk lists jobs with employers such as Credit Suisse, BP and De Montford University – all of whom are members of the charity’s Diversity Champions programme.

Jobseekers can search by title and location, or browse vacancies by salary, category and type.

The charity has also launched a careers guide and website for graduate jobseekers.

Copies of ‘Starting Out’ will be distributed across student unions, LGBT societies, careers servcies and sixth forms, while students and graduates can also visit StartingOutGuide.org.uk.

All employers listed in the resources have committed to supporting gay staff and inclusive workplace policies.

Laura Doughty, Stonewall deputy chief executive, said: “Attracting, developing and retaining the most talented staff is key for all of the employers Stonewall works with.

“By advertising vacancies on our dedicated site or showcasing why they are an employer of choice in the careers guide, these employers directly reach out to lesbian, gay and bisexual talent, who look for employers who recognise that people perform better when they can be themselves.”
