4:56 PM — SNP leader Alex Salmond has filmed an 'It Gets Better' video to encourage Scottish LGBT young people to be more visible. The Scottish first minister, who has been criticised by Catholic leaders for his plans to legalise gay marriage, said he wanted gay people to be "proud of who they are".
Stonewall seeks new trustees 7
3:16 PM — Gay rights charity Stonewall is seeking new trustees. The current chair and deputy chair, David Isaac and Liz Grant, will complete their terms next year and the organisation is seeking to replace them, as well as appointing a number of other trustees.

2:54 PM — Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has accused the Australian edition of GQ magazine of homophobia. Writing on his blog, the openly gay star said the publication was guilty of outdated "lies, myths and stereotypes" about gay people.

9:28 AM — Zachary Quinto, the star of Heroes and 2009's Star Trek, has revealed he is gay. The 34-year-old has refused to discuss his sexuality until now, although he joined other celebrities in making an 'It Gets Better' video.
