90210 to feature gay wedding
US TV series 90210 is to have a gay wedding.
Teddy (Trevor Donovan) will marry boyfriend Shane (Ryan Rottman) in an episode to be screened in November.
The pair will be seen marrying in a Las Vegas chapel in front of friends as an Elvis impersonator officiates.
However, Nevada does not recognise same-sex marriage.
Donovan’s character came out in the last series and will only feature in a few more episodes after the ceremony.
The coming out storyline was praised by gay rights groups for its inclusivity.
New character Shane, who has not yet appeared on the show, is an AIDS activist, reports say.
