North Carolina. A place of such progressive thought, equality and respect! I think not. How backward are these people? And usually in the name of Christ.
I say ‘For Christ’s sake’ get a life.

North Carolina the place where hurrocane Irine made landfall.

North Carolina was once progressive on womens rights on property and in the year 2000 finally repealed the consitutional ban on interracial civil marriage – now it is a KKK groups coming up again in recent years trying to repeal the 2009 law on banning bullying on the basis of sexual orientation and gender idenity and for over 160 years still has a sodomy law that has not been repealed as of 2011 on their law books called:

    NORTH CAROLINA
F 14-177, Crime Against Nature, 10 years / discretionary fine

I found this website to be very interesting too on the sodomy law in North Carolina. In 1712, the Carolina colony was divided formally into North Carolina and South Carolina and thats why they have similar laws in South Carolina:

  4. North Carolina is one of the states that is going to have to be dragged in to the modern world by its hair, kicking and screaming. Some of the states seem to revel in bigotry of all flavours, sickening. Oh and PN, will you please use the term “Marriage equality” not “gay marriage”.

Agreed. Another option is “Equal Marriage.”

      Same words – different order.

  5. The democratic lawmakers and the judges like the ninth courts jugdes, are going to have to make it a full flat across the board, no discriminations, and every town city m state and country must fall up under humanity and equal rights for all of the citizens, that is the only right and fair things to do, you cannot keep allowing a hand full of biggoted republicans tied to hate religions and accults, because they alsways are, check it, bad upbringing in hate families are accults, to speakd for the entire world who is nintey five percent already human rights and equal rights people and dont want the bigots starting trouble in the commu;nities and towns as racists, these are their famiies are their kids families are relative families are friends families, they dont wanat the bigots being consstant trouble makers and serious actions of arrestd on the haate religions an law suits by the judges, and racist politicians, will shut them up and sit them down , so that this naiton can go forward

Disgraceful, such hate and disrespect for humanity.

Society works better when it is stable and happy.

No surprise then that religious republican would prefer a unstable and unhappy society.
