  1. Meanwhile Annie Lennox called and asked for her act back.

    1. lol

  2. her male drag act looks like bob geldolf or shane mcGowan. Not a good look.

    1. saying that. I think she is cool. and no other female has done male drag like that. the others always still looked female. whereas gaga really does look like a smelly sicilian mechanic.

      1. The only advantage Gaga has over other female artists in terms of dragging convincingly is that hooter of hers which she’s already had work done on, ‘I was born this way’ but I’m gonna have a nose job to please my record company- dumb f–k.
        Check out the competition;

        and for the guy’s

        1. Calm down redus. No one is original. There’s nothing new under the sun. Everyone gets it from somewhere. Madonna was hardly original ripping off marilyn (and every other person she came into contact with). Annie did bowie (just like gaga did). the point is, art, music, whatever you wanna call it is a beautiful conversation, it goes on and on and on between artists. it’s not about originality, it’s about inspiration for a new generation. and gaga has inspired a new generation. you’re sounding jaded.

i’m not personally into gaga’s music. but I know she’s cool. full respect for the risks she takes. whilst beyonce turns up in a glitter top with a baby bump, gaga does male drag and blurs the boundaries. she might be ugly as a man, I don’t like her music, I know she’s not original, but I still love her and know she’s one of the best pop musicians of this moment.

          1. The difference between homage and ripping people off is referencing the source, which Gaga doesn’t seem to always do, except under duress.

I think Madonna has been quite open about the influences in her work and that is the difference.

It seems to be what people don’t seem to like about Gaga anyway. She should be a bit more vocal about this and no one would care.

Then again if no one cares then no one will talk about it and give her all this publicity so I guess she’s being pretty smart.

However I think the plagiarism accusations can overshadow the important message she spreads about gay rights, HIV and safe sex etc. to people who may not listen otherwise.

It is still important and just because someone else like Madonna said it in the 80s and 90s doesn’t make it an irrelevant issue or something that is passé.

      2. I like Gaga but not so much in man-drag, she does look like a smelly midget Sicillian mechanic. I wouldn’t go for a bloke or a woman who was anything like that and it doesn’t work for me, yuck!

  3. “It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, bi straight, you were born this way baby. I on the other hand am a bit of Annie Lennox, Madonna, Bjork, Roisin Murphy, Grace Jones and a plethora of other women I’ve ripped off”.

  4. You say she’s ripping people off, but would you prefer it if she wasn’t saying this stuff? Is there some sort of “orginality” criterion you have to meet to support the lgbtq community? Surely allies who are big and famous are good news whatever – you can hardly ask for all famous people to be original.

It is just a bit of fun!!! One of the few genuinely inspired artists, even if it does a bit like she’s soliciting a bit of publicity. Now who do that? It is the norm for pop musos isn’t it?

  6. Well, I enjoy her music and like her political message.

  7. I love her but this does sort of conflict with what she said in Born This Way.

    1. Not really. Born This Way is about embracing who you are on the inside and putting it out there for the world to see.

  8. A woman with the balls. Perfect pop act. Like Tina Turner. A feisty woman. An unattractive man thou :) Still…we talk about her, not sure she will ever hear about us being on a front line of GLBT rights fight. Bless her. Santa Gaga.

  9. Someone slap that bitch
