Recently the President of Cameroon, Philémon Yang stated that he had no problem with homosexuality as long as it was in private. Maybe he should procure a copy of the 1957 Wolfenden Report. As for men looking feminine, are African countries going to persecute fashion as well as homosexuality? Maybe we should stop givinh them aid while they have money to persecute and imprison people for being gay or even having a wardrobe malfunction.
Cameroon is yet another example of a backward state which does not deserve a penny in British aid.
A country which has the resources to persecute the gay population clearly does not need to come begging for money from the west.
And Cameroon’s savage bigotry is entitely its own fault,.

This is not a surprise.
Human Rights Watch reported last year that Cameroon’s courts are increasingly convicting based on perceived orientation, with little or no evidence of any homosexual act having taken place. This is a violation of Cameroon’s own law, which criminalises only homosexual acts.
No gay Cameroonian asylum seeker should be sent back there. Cameroon is demonstrably ignoring its own laws in order to persecute gay people. The case of Joseph Kaunde needs to be reexamined, as do all other failed LGBT asylum seekers from Cameroon.
