  1. Thats brilliant!! Hopefully we’ll one day get rid of gender identity all together and just be people.

    1. eh? i quite like being a man.

      1. Nobody’s saying you can’t be a man. If that’s what you see yourself as, then that’s what you are, of course. I think what he was trying to say was the hope that someday everybody will be able to identify how they like and no one will question or disagree with how someone personally identifies themselves.

        1. de Villiers 16 Aug 2011, 10:38pm

I think that is artificial, unrealistic and undesirable. Our identities all go towards forming our concept of our self.

          1. I don’t understand what you are saying. What’s undesirable about the idea of identifying how you like?

          2. You can still be manly you merely are not expected to be manly, you can be what you want.

    2. Yeah, and let’s take other irrelevant issues out of the moral while we are at it. Age, who cares as long as there is consent and love. Family, he love is already there so why not express it with intercourse, consensual of course.
After that , let’s move on to the consenting animals!
This is the natural conclusion of your position if you pursue it to it’s end, if not, where are you setting the moral boundaries and on what basis?

      1. keith you are such a pseudo-christian dirtbag, your head is filled with filth, you make me feel ill, go and get some counselling for your problem you weirdo.

        1. You should blame the homosexuals on here if you feel nauseous. they are the ones saying that as long as adults are consenting they may do what they please with each other.
I am merely highlighting the incredible stupidity and fallaciousness of this model which would have to permit incest, scat, and other things that disgust me but clearly are acceptable by the criteria to which your lot adhere. I have asked many times and many people what should the bounfdaries be but noone are willing or able to say anything aother than consent love and adulthood.
          Your morals, your filth!
It is fitting that your name is Pavlov since dogs are known for returning to their vomit! 2 Peter 2:22

          1. @keith,
The name is Pavlos (it’s the Greek version of Paul).
My personal preference (or personal morality if you must) is fully in accord with how I live now, in a committed, loving relationship with my long-term, same sex partner.
As I expect equal treatment under the law without discrimination, I also expect and must demand civil marriage equality for same sex couples so that our relationships can be afforded the same protections and legal recognition in civil marriage that is already afforded to opposite sex married couples.
Apart from the likes of you, Equality is the criteria to which most commentators here adhere, no special treatment is asked for and no special privileges are expected.

          2. Keith, you’re either being wilfully dim or purposely nasty. Just because most people don’t share your belief in no sex except withim marriage, you leap to the assumption that we all like various sexual practices.

Now I can do that too: naughty, bad Keith is straight that means he and all his lot must do all those straight practices like scat, paedophilia, eating babies, setting off nuclear weapons…blah blah…gross…gross…’

Do you see how daft you’re being? All you’re doing is betraying your hatred of LGBT people. By all means believe in abstinence and whatever, but this is nothing about your beliefs, it’s all about your hatred of gay people.

          3. burningworm 19 Aug 2011, 10:37am

            The boundary is law.

          4. Jock S. Trap 20 Aug 2011, 3:35pm

Fvck off Keith you fvcking bigotted homophobe!

          5. Lol you make me laugh so hard. Get an education and then maybe people will listen instead of laughing at you.
If you want to quote the bible, quote the thou shall not judge, see you in hell buddy, you are no better than the people u judge…

      2. David Myers 17 Aug 2011, 11:36pm

        Go away you homophobic troll!

      3. Jock S. Trap 20 Aug 2011, 3:34pm

On what a surprise Keith has turned this story into sex – yawn.

    3. Hopefully one day genetic engineering will be able to make us humans monoecious, that is, with both functional sexes at the same time, or how they informally call, hermaphrodite.

  2. He really is incredibly beautiful.

    1. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2011, 7:25am

….that beauty is in the eye of the beholder eloquently confirmed once again.
He looks to me like a boy trying hard to be a girl by wearing makeup and not succeeding very well.
Can’t see how anyone with even rudimentary vision could possibly mistake him for a girl?
He is not hugely masculine looking but hardly a girl and from his pronouncements clearly not very intelligent. I feel a lot of pity for him.

      1. Rachel Clare 22 Aug 2011, 3:54am

gender is socially constructed, he is just a perfect example of someone who can live outside of those boundaries, that is until someone like you tags it as “not very intelligent.”

I’m a history teacher and have seen many examples in the past of people who just dont fit into any constructed category, that doesn’t mean there is something wrong at all, it just means our society is too rigid.

    2. This is very condescending. Why does he merit your pity or being defined as unintelligent?

      1. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2011, 11:36am

…sigh! He is clearly a very sad mixed up you mand who has no idea what he is never mind who he is, and one can see huge problems for him in the future and the fact he says his gender doesn’t matter indicates low intelligence as does his lack of ambition and or direction.

        1. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2011, 8:32pm

          ..young man **,

        2. David Myers 17 Aug 2011, 11:38pm

Where do you get off judging him?

          1. Paddyswurds 18 Aug 2011, 12:30am

Noone is judging, just stating the bleedin obvious.

        3. Nonsense, Paddyswurds. The fact that he doesn’t base his identity on conventional notions of gender doesn’t mean he doesn’t know who he is, and whom he might be mistaken for is irrelevant. And anyone who doesn’t have a common gender identity is usually all too aware of the ‘problems’. The fact that gender doesn’t matter to him is not to say that he is unaware of society’s obsessions about it. He seems in fact to be quite aware of them.

        4. Your a dunce. Lack of ambition… Yes thats why he is making more money than all of us walking a cat work. Think before you type moron..

    3. Agreed, he’s hot as hell.

    4. Andrej is an amazing model who makes even Rosie Huntington Whiteley look a bit ordinary.
At 6′ 2″ tall, in heels he’s going to tower over most women, even most catwalk models.
He’ll become more masculine looking as he gets older but for now at 19yrs he’s very androgenous.
Hope the work keeps coming in for him, and why not?

  3. While a very nice pic, it is kinda paradoxical that Andrej claims that gender doesn’t matter but he takes care to dress in a ‘feminine’ manner. As a sociologist, I would argue that there is NO escaping gender, it fixes us at birth so I’m afraid that I disagree the gender doesn’t matter. I is another issue to state that gender should not (in the sense that nobody should discriminate/ be discriminated against) but I *like* my gender – and sexual orientation – it is a crucial part of my identity. This queer refusal to be defined etc. is again being promoted by a man who, under it all, enjoys gendered privilege as a man. And now my head hurts thinking about this (again)…

    1. Why should his saying that his gender does not matter to him, bother you? He is not saying that your gender and how you identify is irrelevant. At the end of the day ee are all different in some aspects, we all in a minority of one.

    2. Our sex is fixed at birth. Our gender identity isn’t. They’re two different things. Otherwise how would you explain transgender people like me, whom has a ‘female’ body but identifies as male? Gender is a personal identity, not something that is decided for you. You feel that your birth sex matches your gender. That’s perfectly fine; that’s the majority of people. My male gender does not match with my female birth sex. And Andrej feel he has no discernible gender identity that would neither match nor not match with his birth sex. And the clothes that Andrej chooses to wear have no bearing on his gender. Who decided that feminine clothes were for females and masculine clothes were for males? They’re just clothes, after all.

      1. Gender cannot be changed . This is a myth. The male and female brain are totally different. How could a ‘transgender’ born as a male, pass themselves off as a female if they still have a male brain? The brain is the person. Without the brain you are nothing!

        1. *sigh* You obviously don’t know a great deal about sex and gender, do you? I think you are confusing someone’s brain with their genitals when you talk about people having ‘male’ and ‘female’ brains. That makes no sense whatsoever. Everybody’s brain is different. It’s what makes us individual. That includes gender identity, which is primarily in the head and can range anything from male to female, to both or neither. I said that BIRTH SEX is what cannot be changed. But someone who is transgender or transsexual does not identify with their birth sex. If you are believing gender identity in the brain is something that only matches up with the sex you are born as, then you are invalidating everyone who is transgender or transsexual with those comments.

          1. Absolutely wrong. The female brain is vastly different fom the male brain. Scientific fact.
Women’s brain are about 10% smaller than that of men. 1. Men’s brain weigh about 1.4Kg and women’s weigh 1.25Kg. Women, however, have 10% more brain nerve cells than men.

Women use more parts of the brain than men do
Whatever they do, there are much more nerve cells’ movements in female’s brain than that of male’s.

Women are sensitive to their emotions
When women face a sad situation, they feel 8 times more of sad emotion.
Women have 2 times more chances of getting depression.

Check all this for yourself if you do not accept it.
Conclusion…A person is nothing without a brain, therefore the brain defines the person, not the genitals Sorry to break it!). Therefore a male brain defines a male and likewise a female.

          2. And all foetuses began life in the womb as FEMALE. The maleness is initiated by various hormonal changes, so your simplistic explanation is just that – simplistic.

        2. keith is a pseudo-christian troll, he is only here to post his obsessive sexual filth and nonsense, ignore him.

        3. David Myers 17 Aug 2011, 11:40pm

You are so sad. Grow up and go somewhere else where your comments might be appreciated. They certainly aren’t here. Your trolling is a sign of your own poor sense of self.

          1. So much for equality. Is this a homosexuals only club?

          2. Yes its an LGBT news website

          3. Jock S. Trap 20 Aug 2011, 3:40pm

Keith – isn’t there a busy railway line you could be playing on?
            Fvck off.

        4. Jock S. Trap 20 Aug 2011, 3:38pm

OMG Keith you are one nasty bigot. No wonder the world has it’s problem. Hopefully when you die the world will finally become a better less judgement self.

Hypocrite – thought you weren’t supposed to judge people.

    3. He didn’t say gender doesn’t matter, he said that it doesn’t matter to him that some people call him a woman.

Where did you get this idea that he takes care to dress in a feminine manner?
He said himself: “I want to look like me. It just so happens that some of the things I like are feminine.”

As far as his refusal to be defined, that’s not exactly what he’s doing, in fact he doesn’t really care what people choose to define him as.
He has said that he doesn’t have a strong sense of gender identity, and that is just as valid as your identity.
Maybe he *likes* lacking a strong gender identity? Lacking something can be part of an identity.

  4. ‘says HIS gender doesn’t matter’
For myself I don’t want to be androgenous my sex and sexuality are important to me.
I love being male and I love (and lust after some of them) males.
Perhaps it is because we tend to lump gay and lgbt all together in one lump that this has come about.
Ok we are not usual but we as a sub group are not all the same either; nor do we have similar goals and aspirations.

    1. Of course we have similar goals. Just because sexuality and gender are different does not mean that we do not have common interests. We seek civil rights and non-discrimination just like you. We want protection from those who harass and abuse us.
No one is asking you to become some androgynous gender warrior, just like no one from the gay community is asking a straight person to become gay. We’re just asking for understanding, acceptance and support, just like you ask for acceptance and support from straight people. How is that different?

  5. friday jones 16 Aug 2011, 10:37pm

Some people appear to be beautiful both on the inside and the outside.

  6. His Body — His Life — His Business; everything else is BS and speculation from pundits whose time would be better spent at self-examination.

    1. Sorry; this site’s comments doesn’t handle certain keyboard strokes, that’s what caused the goofy spacing.

  7. Why is this here? Is he gay or are we all assuming all men who cross dress are gay. This must be the worst article ever

    1. Well saying as how a section of the transgender community cross dress I would say that’s why he’s here.

      1. thats wrong Transgender is being in the wrong body cross dressing is mostly a fetish. This guy maybe straight but assumed to be gay cause he wear womens clothes. thats some lazy stereotyping

        1. You’re confusing transgender with transsexual.

Transgender is an umbrella that can include transsexuals, gender queer individuals, non gender identifying individuals, androgynous people. crossdressers, and others.

Cross dressing is not “mostly a fetish”: clothes are so culturally coded that any significance they hold is mostly dependant on the individual. They can have a sexual role for men and women, irrespective of gendering, but most of the time they are functional garments and a means of self expression. Women wear mens clothes and men wear womens clothes most often because they simply like them.

Andrej is transgendered in the way he expresses himself through his own presentation and in the way he identifies. There’s no assumption involved.

Saying crossdressing is mostly a fetish *is* lazy stereotyping, I am sorry to say.

          1. Thanks for that. Id rather be thought a fool rather than live in ignorance. The point of these comments is to learn and exchange ideas so thamks again. I think pink news and Ben Cohen has a responsibility to stop trolls posting here. This hatred here may be the comment that affects someones life. Its shameful and should stop

  8. Wow. I just saw that and was like stunningly beautiful.

    1. completely.

      1. Paddyswurds 18 Aug 2011, 12:31am

  9. martyn notman 17 Aug 2011, 12:06pm

banned topless photo in case people thought he was topless woman…he doesnt actually have breasts i think this may have given it away??

  10. Give him another 15 years and we’ll see how feminine he looks then.

And I’d hardly call him a supermodel.

  11. Jane Anderson-Hawkes 17 Aug 2011, 6:04pm

Why do we worry about labels at all? People like being who they are. Do we have to constrain them into little boxes? Even Andre is falling into the trap of calling his appearance feminine; which after all is merely a cutural construct. We have such a long way to go yet.

    1. And you have fallen into the trap of labelling Andre as ‘him’

      1. So you know Andre and what pronoun he prefers,do you?

        1. And you are doing it too labelling Andre as ‘he’
‘It’ prefers not to be labelled, therefore ‘it’ suffices!

          1. ‘it’? How lovely of you. You’re nasty aswell as ignorant, it seems. All that anger and bitterness directed at us when you know that the real problem is much closer to home, isn’t it? Speak to someone, keith.

  12. I look forward to a day we don’t care about sexuality or gender or physical appearances and just love each other as equal human beings.

Andrej is a beautiful person, that’s all you need say. No labels needed

    1. Tell that to Iris who keeps calling it ‘him’

      1. I’m sure Andrej would prefer that to ‘it’.

        1. Speak to someone about your problems, keith.

  13. What an envy of the young boy ! As a autogynephilic bisexual myself I wish I looked as pretty as that !

  14. Keith's Conscience 18 Aug 2011, 5:03pm

Come on now, Keith. Play nicely, stop causing trouble and just come out of the closet dear. This homophobic nonsense is very boring and a poor excuse for visiting a gay news site every ten minutes.

  15. The guy’s smart enough and pretty enough to play both sides of the fashion industry – good for him.

  16. Yes – very pretty in my opinion too

  17. I love the fact that he models for both genders, although we might bicker and bitch about whether is actually beautiful or whether he’s a talented ‘supermodel’. One thing we can barely dispute is that he’s breaking boundaries with his androgyny. Which is awesome.

  18. I just love this story and I love how a young person can explain things society has unnessesarily complicated in such a simple, straight-forwards manner. Andrej is gorgeous in his self acceptance and simply in his own skin.

  19. Thank god for Andrej, not only is ze gorgeous, but ze brings attention to non-binary trans* people, like me.

  20. He lookz like an emaciated tranny …nive eyes and lips, but clearly a man
