Work on Australia’s first gay, lesbian and bisexual retirement village is to begin next year.

A 120-unit complex is being built in Ballan in Victoria with a croquet lawn, indoor spa and bar.

According to the Geelong Advertiser, developer Peter Dickson said that more than 200 people around the world had contacted him to find out more about the Linton Estate retirement village.

Mr Dickson said that the estate, which will cost $30 million to build, will be a haven for the older LGB community.

People will be able to buy off-plan apartments in two month’s time.
