Wow. I am truly amazed by the bravery and courage of some people in our community. It takes so much deep internal work on one’s beliefs and spirit to find the place within where you go against and challenge the demands on us to conform to a family’s ideal. These women are heroes!
You go girls!
Well said Ray.
Fantastic news for this couple and hopefully more couples can recieve the same level of support in India. There is hope! I wish the couple well

Shame to them, well done Veena and Savita! Bole’ Ki Jay!
Indeed, excellent point, ToniM!!
Its easy to forget that this is what the Gay Liberation struggle is all about.
Making sure everyone has the right to choose who they wish to be and how they wish to live their life.
Gradually the World is coming to terms with this notion – in part hampered by its colonial and subservient past: the notion that some people are more important than others.
It is inevitable that this will fade.
I look forward to a day when the whole of humanity can stand up and count each and every one of us as equal.
