obviously gay marriage in New York is fantastic but they should have known, if they did do it wrong, that because of the controversy of it that it would be instantly looked at in all its detail and played so by the book that noone could fault them it would be such a shame if this bill fails on a technicality.

It was legislated by the peoples’ (voters) representatives and is NOT subject to referendum since there is no process for it in New York State from what I’ve read of its laws.
