That would be nice but probably won’t see the light of day in several states for at least a generation. The American states aren’t likely to get in as quickly the Canadian provinces did (from June 2003 to May 2005). The “Deep South” – Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, Florida , etc and don’t forget that shining beacon of tolerance – Utah – who probably never adopt equal rights of their accord. It will only happened if an amendment to the US Constitution forbids such discrimination. In which case 2/3 of BOTH houses of Congress must pass it, THEN 2/3 of all the state legislatures must also approve it – about 33 states. RI, NJ, PA, DE, IL, CA, OR & WA will probably be the next “battle grounds”.

An awful lot of hype and hoopla for what is about the 28th or 29th jurisdiction in the entire world to vote in equal marriage. One has to wonder what would have been the scenario if NY were the first!!!
All that said, well done NY and Governor Cuomo! Welcome in the growing circle of equality that someday may find itself completely around the globe.

Lottery for degenerates – that’s great!

    1. No, you’re not included, so there’s no degeneracy involved.
