“Ms Gillard has said that gay marriage goes against her traditional beliefs.”

and yet she is not married herself, but living with her boyfriend, hardly traditional, She is being blatantly hypocritical.

Not only that Luke she is currently on her fourth or fifth live-in boyfriend, she has no children and does not believe in God. I know there are some differences between Australian and Canadian English but I am pretty certain neither would define hers as anything but a traditional ‘marriage.’

Just like the Bible-thumpers, she will pick and choose which parts suit her and disregard the rest.

    2. Julia Horrorbox has convenient “traditional beliefs” that restrict other people but not herself, I’m not sure who if anyone benefits from her convenient “traditional beliefs” nor why she feels a need to impose them upon others.

      1. Oh come on. PM Gillard has had to walk a very narrow line since she has been leader and in my view she is doing a considerable job, what with the same right wing nutters that the US has, the Murdoch trash newspapers and the continueing sexism by both male and female reporters, she is proving herself to be steady and responsive. Gay marriage is on the way regardless of who is in power. Global Warming/climate Change is a real priority and she has had the courage to take the first tiny step in waking Australians ( second to the Saudi’s in our carbon output ) up to our wasteful/take for granted life styles.
