  1. “Between World War I and World War II, straight guys could have sex with other guys and still be perceived as straight as long as they acted masculine”. That’s wouldn’t make them ‘straight’ guys now would it?

    1. Not now, no, but it would then… That was kind of his point…

  2. Ah the middle zone. I call it bi. If you really only do it once, I’d say maybe get away with bi-curious.

Or if you want to get Kinsey involved, points 1-5 on the scale! (I’m a 4).

  3. Why is he repeating these stories? Is anyone else really the source of them? I sniff some sensation-seeking here.
And his version of recent gay history is a bit crude to say the least.

  4. Franco is an amazing actor and always comes across as a brilliant guy. He’s one of te luckiest guys in Hollywood who has pretty much free license to do any project he wants and a studio will pick it up.

This is just nut jobs and religious wackos at work. A man who portrays many gay men in movies and is by all accounts a equal rights supporter gets a person say that he raped an ex bf … Yea didn’t see that coming >.> anything to undermine someone’s credibility.

We get rid of news of the world but sadly there will never be a stop to tabloid media.

Its fun how he teases about his sexuality and people lap it up. I’m sorry he broke up with his partner Ans I hope he can move on from all this and should he come out he will be very much welcomed by the gay community.

I can just imagine him dancing to some kylie playing lol

James Franco is an excellent actor, he has a beautiful personality and a wonderful mind as well. If these cretins who are paid by the tabloids had to actually work for an honest living they would starve.(Mainly because they would not know what honest is.)

in the pre-mass media world it really wasnt that uncommon to sleep with a guy and not consider yourself an “other”- read anything by Edmund White, or the excellent “evening crowd at Kirmsers” or “coming out under fire”- it was a different generation, different rules. Thankfully we’ve moved on somewhat…

If James Franco wants to explore his ambiguous zone, I’d be more than happy to offer my services.

Don’t believe the rumours like I don’t believe the media.

James Franco is a good actor and a really nice fella.
    He should have no worries.

  11. I think that James is just one of those actors that when asked, says whats on his mind. No pretense or planning, just speaks what he feels!

I like that and I think that once we get away from the “planning” we all do in what we say, maybe we will all be honest with one another. My two cents..
