Such a pity the feelings not mutual.

Ricky Martin waited until his career was over before he came out. And even then he only came out when he was trying to make a buck, flogging his dreary autobiography.

Such a pity he lacked the integrity 1 year earlier when his voice would have been useful in arguing against the disgustingly homophobic Proposition 8 in California.

Any why did Ricky Martin feel it appropriate to whore himself out as a performer for the re-inauguration of disgusting bigot George W Bush.

And why does Ricky Martin feel it appropriate to whore himself out to a company – Target – which believes that he is a 2nd class citizen; and who use their money and influence to fund extremist homophiobe candidates.

Ricky Martin is the worst kind of opportunist. He stayed in the closet while he was a popular singer; and ONLY came out to revitalise his stagnant career; yet still has no problem earning money from the proceeds of homophobia.

Being in Evita on Broadway doesn’t really suggest his career is over by any means.

Everyone has the right to ‘come out’ when They feel it’s right for them, or not if thats how they feel.
      -
I think your bitterness isn’t so much what he hasn’t done as what life he has, full stop.
      -
It’s ok, I get it SteveC, some people can’t handle others doing well and being successful.

That may be the case Jock but I hasten to add that if someone is in the public eye then they should be setting an example. If one can’t be open about their sexualiuty then at least try not to be a complete hypocrit.

SteveC makes some perfectly valid points.

Of course he’s loved, and always has been, because he’s GORGEOUS!!!

And finding out he’s one of us is a bonus!!

Who cares how long it took him to come out, he lives in the United States of Homophobia, and he did it in the end. Sir Ian McKellen was over 50 when he came out and look at her now!!

I think he may find that when he’s a bit poorer and a bit less well known, he isn’t quite so loved. You get lots of love from people when they’re getting lots of your money especially in pubs and clubs.

I don’t have his back. To me he’s just one more in the long line of opportunists.

Lepers like more people joining their rank in order to feel safer. Ricky Martin does not understand that he is spreading gender identity disorder and pushing young people to get interested in this sick lifestyle.

It’s such a shame that people like honest feel they are the right people to be around children.

Certainly wouldn’t have allowed hateful people like honest around my son, polluting their minds with mumbo-jumbo crap and discrimination.

    1. Jock – the fact that Ricky Martin now makes his living in musical theatre certainly indicates his career is on the slide.

And if an opportunist like Ricky Martin wants to earn cash from the proceeds of homophobia then he certainly deserves to be condemned.
