The fourth Pink Lake festival is to be held in Austria in August.

Set around Lake Wörthersee between August 25th-28th, the event includes entertainment, parties, relaxation and sports.

The festival is billed as “an international get-together for gays, lesbians and everyone in between, including friends of the community”.

On the first night of the festival, guests are invited to dress up in lederhosen and dirndls for a traditional-themed folk party.

Other events include a boat cruise party, a Studio 44 party with more than 1,000 guests and daily activities including swimming, hiking, biking, dating games, sailing courses and motorboat tours.

Lake Wörthersee, described as ‘crystal clear’, is set in the centre of Carinthia, the southernmost state of Austria, which is directly adjacent to the borders of Italy and Slovenia.

Guests can stay in a range of historic villas and health spa hotels in Velden, and enjoy the local bars, restaurants and cafes.
