  2. I’m sorry but in the case of Bachmann, glittering makes no sense. What we need is a good investigative journalist who will look in to WHY Bachmann and her husband own a “pray away the gay” counselling practice (he’s a shrink) although the practice of “conversion therapy” is discredited by the AMA and numerous other professional bodies in the field of psychiatry and social work. AND that the state pays them thousands of dollars for their work. Tax payer money. Who decided to ignore all professional guidance on the matter and pay her and her husband for their snake oil practice. She doesn’t need a glitter thrower, she needs a whistle blower. Of all GOP candidates Bachmann is the most devious, dishonest, ignorant, dimwitted, hateful and vile of them all.

I share your sentiment but glitter sparkles.

Until the time that conversion therapy is viewed as malpractice it will always be profitable. The AMA’s stance at the moment is meaningless.

    2. I understand that a good investigative journalist would be very useful – but the stunt of glittering is consistent and appropriate. Bachmann’s extreme views and bizarre beliefs should be exposed and shown for what they are.

Your wish is my command. A fine article exposing her madness from the Daily Beast a few days back:

      Enjoy and spread it around.

Glittering makes a lot of sense.
She won’t get rid of the stuff for months and each time she see just one piece she’ll be reminded.

It’s actually very affective and imaginative.
      I love it.

Here here. What this woman needs is a slap upside the head but that’s illegal. I wonder where her brain is. Doesn’t she know that gay parents can’t make their chid gay just like we can’y change their eye color or hair color

I agree she is the worst. But Anita Bryant was among the worst also and when she was pied in 1977 and remarked – “Well, at least it was a fruit pie.” That was the start of her gradual fall from grace. Part of that was acheived by bocotting Florida orange juice because she was a paid spokesperson for that industry. After the boycott started to succeed she was dismissed from her spokesperson role. So good natured (i.e. non-violent) ridicule plus active boycotts were the key to her demise.

Does she not realise that her husband is more likely to be targetting children than gay people. Silly moose needs to educate herself!

  4. What evidence is there that “gays” are targeting children? I am so sad that people like this hate so much that they are willing to make outlandish statements such as these.

  5. Bachmann is Anita Bryant all over again. If you’re too young to know who she is (She’s still alive, active, and vindictive, in Edmond, Oklahoma) just use a search engine with her name and you’ll get an education. Bryant also used the “target your children” phrase

    1. ha..when I first saw her, I was immediately reminded of Anita ‘Fruit Pie” Bryant..

Bachman deserves both a fruit pie and a glittering…

Lets hope for more and hope they start to get the message.

    1. and some glittering in the UK too please …. Theresa May first!

      1. Jock S. Trap 21 Jun 2011, 6:39am

Sounds good but why do that while we have a government already consulting on marriage Equality?
It’s not like the last Labour lot supported it or would have considered it.
So pointless to attack someone while they’re actually considering.
        Kinda defeats the object.

She needs to be bitched slapped, saying that gays are out to get peoples children. There are higher levels of paedophiles in other groups like churches and school teachers then in LGBT groups. And the fact is same sex parents most of the time are better at being parents then heterosexual parents. And that is what most people don’t like. *screems*

    1. Dan Filson 21 Jun 2011, 4:35pm

I take it “bitch slapped” is something aggressive men do to women secure in the knowledge they will not be slapped back in equal measure most of the time. If you do not realise how misogynist that us, heaven help us.

  8. To think this psychotic brainwashed religious nutter could be the next president of the United States. It sends chills down my spine. I fear for America and its gay citizens if that ever happens. The tea partyers and religious nutters are dumb enough to elect her. Its bad enough Pawlenty and Romney are running, equally fearful if you’re gay.

  9. Glittering?! Oh,please. This is about as effective as whispering into some rabid homophobe’s ear,”Please,be nice to us”. Yeah,ok glitter’s a bugger to get rid of,but that’s about it! Intense & sustained lobbying is the way to go.Proactive dissent & a good solid bit of egging,if we absolutely have to cover these bigots in something! But glitter?! Nah,save it for parties.

    1. Actually, Paul
      I think both are effective

      1. Jock S. Trap 21 Jun 2011, 6:41am

        Here! Here!

Every piece they’ll find they’ll remember why for months, possibly years.

        Thats effective.

  10. omg glittering doesnt solve anything!! instead of using useless methods that provoke anger, we should use ideas which are the important ones

  11. No wonder men are gay, when women like this exist. Who need them.

Women feel threatened now there is no men around for them, as there are more gay men now.

Long live Gay men. Bring back the single sex venues.

    1. Wow! What a sexist comment. I thought we as a community were way beyond this anti-women and anti-men BS. As a TS, I sometimes come in contact with gay men who hate anything or anyone feminine and have to deal with their rudeness. There are also some lesbians who refuse to accept Trans peeps as anything but a man in a dress. Then there are radical lesbians who think all men are evil. People who cannot get along with both men and women have a problem.

  12. Glitter? I’d cover her with sh1te, judging from her comments she doesn’t seem a stranger to speaking it. A nasty bigot.

    1. David Myers 22 Jun 2011, 5:38am

Glitter is much more effective (politically speaking) than sh1te, even if that would be more fulfilling for us and more descriptive of the drivel she shovels. Using sh1te would only create sympathy for her and hostility for us. Glitter, or fruit pies (in Anita Bryant’s case) is just right!
