  1. Ugh, such a boring ‘comparison’. Homophobes seem incapable of thinking up new lines.

    1. Yep, they just parrot cr*p as facts and don’t think to engage their brain at all. Gullible and stupid.

      1. I agree, highly irresponsible !!!

      2. Paddyswurds 8 Jun 2011, 1:23pm

….what brain. These people dont have brains, just the cerebral cortex that keeps the body alive and functioning, much the same as an alligator, altho that is probably insulting to an alligator by comparing them. Imagine if this lot win the next election, which is a possibility given the rampant racism afoot in America at the moment

      3. These dunces seem to get their script from an anti-gay “book” called “The Homosexual Agenda” that claims it is ” Exposing the Principal Threat To Religious Freedom Today” by Sears and Osten.

    2. Daniel de Culla 8 Jun 2011, 6:46pm

By the same, Vicky is a fathersucker pig bastard.

What a stupid peson of the first order –

    4. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:38am

teh real problem is that tens of milions follow this kind of religious fundy. And its a great business. People like minsiter pat robinson, another extremist, fly around in pvt jets, own multiple expensive antique cars and multiple homes.\

they are also almost all republicans – the people who deregulated wall street and the banks, and brought the world to the edge of the second great repub depression.

If the world had any guts the good nations would break diplomatic relations with the USA, refuse to honor our passports, and rename my country the Hate States of America.

Which was btw one of the last countries in the west to outlaw slavery, while in the 1st half of the 1800s, GB was using its warships to stop the human traffic of africans kidnapped and brought to the USA etc to be sold into slavery.

The USA would be a far better country if we had failed in our revolution and were just anther part o f GB

these haters would have been crushed long ago by the redcoats

      1. What one sows, so shall they reap! Their day will come!

    5. Yes of course… I agree.. but where you when obama did the same exact thing?
Obama and the liberals have a special privilege in being exempt from the rules. That’s because liberals don’t care about gays, never had never will. What they care is about stealing from and bankrupting entire nations.

      1. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 11:56am

….talk about desperation. Obama did not do the same thing……your twisted mind did and how anyone with a brain could construe that from what you link to is just ….well plain crazy….but wait you are you are a member of the Tea party. Also i find it a bit rich that you say the liberals bankruptied the world. The Republicans under the stewardship of looney George “W” did. When ultra liberal Clinton handed over to the Bush admin , the USA was billions in the black and within six months was in debt to the tune of three trillion dollars! But then it suits your agenda to ignore that.

  2. Boring! Why doesn’t she just say I’m a Chrisitan fanatic/looney who doesn’t like SS marriage…..point taken and disregarded to the rightful place of the rubbish bin!

    1. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:40am

Ever left a buncho of garbage in a trash can in the heat outside for a few days.

And seen all the maggots collect in the bottom – I think their eggs are somehow carried by flies.

We should rename maggots to republican maggots.

      1. Yeah, the industrious flies run a sort of taxi cab service and are always flying around looking to pick up a fare, the wealthy fat maggots simply hail the fly taxi’s down and they say, “take me to the nearest smelliest trash can, I’m starving”…(lol)

      2. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 12:05pm

        @Billy wingarden…..
…….I think their eggs are somehow carried by flies…….what are you, five? The maggots are a stage in the developement of flies. Flies lay eggs on the rotting meat, the eggs develope into maggots then pupate and finallyhatch to become more flies and so on. So i suppose you were inadvertantly right when you opined that the flies “somehow carry the eggs” Maggots are what a caterpillar is to a moth or a butterfly ….just a stage in the life of a bluebottle or blo fly.

    2. Because the hypocritical gay media has nothing else to write about… 95% of all the junk that is reported on these sites are things that have no particular relevance to the average reader, that is why most of these sites have dwindling visits. A lot of gay people are turned off by the same lame news.

      1. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 12:08pm

No they are turned off by the sort of shyte you and your ilk post.Period.

        1. Amen to that. Pepa, if you don’t like what is on here, find other sites to visit. Yes, it is that easy.

  3. Maybe she’s a closet child molester?

    1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 1:58pm

      Better ask pepa, he’d know.

      1. Well, I’m not the one that wants to tell kids about sex. Nope. It is YOU.
And btw… Why didn’t you blow up on Ian Bower like when you did to me about bringing up pedohilia? Besides according to the jockstrap anybody that brings up pedophilia is also a pedophile themselves (its like if you bring up terrorism you are therefore a terrorist. LOL). Under The Jockstrap Logic (TM) Ian Bower is unquestionably a pedophile and a child rapist.

        1. No Pepa …. but if your own words are correct, you are the person who fails to report child abuse to the appropriate authorities – shame on you

    2. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:45am

maybe she was molested by the catholic church as a youth. Very often, molested kids grow up to be molesters or some other kind of monster themselves.

they are actually acting out their own suffering by tossing it on others.\

Oh btw- If you google “southern baptists and child molestation” pages and pages of results. the southern baptists and the evan christians are peas in a pod btw,

We’ve also had Jewish rabbi molestation. Its almost like to be a man of god, you have to molest kiddies

could it be the result of Goebbels dictum – if you tell a lie often enough (eg re religion) and outrageous enough, it will be seen aas the truth. the core of Christianity.

  4. concerned resident E3 8 Jun 2011, 11:19am

hmm, so secret that it has been on the web for severakl days before this article was posted:

  5. Not that old chestnut again? I guess the term ‘consenting adults’ means nothing to her.
Why do we allow right wing evangelical wingnuts to let their mouth off the clutch without engaging brain first?

    1. Because there are and were gay sex activists that want to lower the age of consent and want to have gay sex with children. They are the ones that give fuel to the fire to the right wing and give gays a bad rep.

      1. @Pepa
What is a “Gay Sex Activist”?

        1. Probably those who are sex-positive though I do not advocate sex with children. There is a puritanical streak in some parts of the community.

        2. He can answer that JohnK … its a hilarious answer … apparently all of us on here are gay sex activists and paedophiles …

Clear sane considered views – obviously, not …

          1. Hi Stu, thanks
I am looking forward to an amusing response from our new muppet puppet Pepa

  6. Same old dis-proven tripe, even when they’re told again and again and again the reality. Seriously, is being an idiot a mandatory requirement for Republican party candidates?
Now doubt we’ll have pepa in here backing this cretin up, he’s in love with the idea that all gay men are paedophiles…. and what a “mentally normal” thing to think too.

    1. Report pepa whenever he makes his drive-by trollish comments but don’t interact with him, that’s what I am going to from now on.

      1. I believe you are right, Pavlos, I might take a leaf out of your book on this pepa. Its just a shame he feels compelled to pollute every thread with 40 comments all consisting of paranoid delusions and deeply offensive and un-proven remarks about us all being paedophiles.

        1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 2:13pm

I agree, I will ignore too.
He’ll probably enjoy agreeing with himself coz no-one else will.

          1. I’ve been ignoring him and it’s a lot less frustrating than trying to engage him in dialogue or get him to amend his mistaken idea about us. Let him make his pronouncements and be ignored. I don’t expect he minds much anyway as he’s not interested in anything outside of himself.

          2. mmm… I haven’t the slightest idea how to change people, but still I keep a list of prospective candidates just in case I should ever figure it out.

          3. Jock S. Trap 9 Jun 2011, 7:57am

Your right of course Iris… As usual!! ;)

        2. David Myers 9 Jun 2011, 8:35am

I agree too, but lets include “Rich” in this plan as well, unless of course, they’re actually the same person, and even then we should treat him the same.

          1. Jock S. Trap 12 Jun 2011, 3:47pm

Indeed thought that ‘Rich’ (touch wood) seems to have gone!)

      2. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:49am

quite possibly pepa is just another name for the utter haters of the westboro baptist church. The people who in hte USA celebrate the deaths of our soldiers and the murder of gays.

the whole damned family is (fact) filled with endless molestation.

“mary waterton” was apparently another of the WBCs people. I outed her since I recongized some of their particular brand of hate.

havent heard from that excrement again.

Freedom of religion is the tragedy of the world.

        1. Yet I been accused of being paranoid… LOL What a joke. You’re kidding right?
Have you people ever read your garbage before you post?

      3. Of course, that is the plan.
First you people hurl insults at me… then you want to disengage…
Does that mean you want us to give you a medal?

        1. No medal from you thanks – its polluted and dirty

    2. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 12:04pm

Bit like a certain poster on these threads, don’t do evidence, don’t do facts, don’t do reality, don’t actually know anybody from the LGBTQI community,
Just mere assumptions just to please their disturbed petty little minds.

      1. I believe that I did post many references to what I been posting… maybe we should recap?
        Gay Sex Activists protecting pedophiles:
        Teaching children about gay sex:
Passing condoms out to small children:
The “Born this way” Theory debunked:
“There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation.”(American Psychological Association)
And need I post for the FOURTH time when Obama and Joe Biden Agreed with Sarah Palin: NO GAY MARRIAGE.
Yet of course you will not read nor watch my references, but just for the record I do provide evidence.

      2. But of course you people would rather attack me, I think you would ignore me… I doubt it.
I mean I haven’t even commented here yet and already the gay supremacists are all up in arms about me.
Your priorty has always been to destroy me, not engage, or counter what I say, but to attack… of course you are going to try to ignore me…. you have no other choice… you cannot keep up.

        1. Not only paranoia, but delusions of grandeur too? If I didn’t know better, I’d guess you were a genuine psychopath Pepa.

        2. @Pepa
I you dlislike LGBT people so much
Why do you spend all of your time on an LGBT website, posting comments seemingly, night and day!!!

          1. I was just asking myself that, John K if Pepa dislikes us so much there are other sites out there. Simply let him continue to talk to himself and report the more gratuitous crap.

          2. @Jeremy, Exactly
Although, It appears that Pepa is on one long, mastubatory rant.

        3. Of course Pepa – all of these postings mean every child protection officer carries out the offences you accuse them of, and that all of the cases you refer to have been independently verified – oh sorry thats not true is it …
You dont work with the truth very well …
Its a bit like saying all Christians are devout – not true ….

          1. My brain shut down as soon as I saw ‘nambla’ in one of the links posted by Pepa. How can you take someone seriously when they get their ‘facts’ from a website like that?!?

          2. I entirely agree …

You can not take Pepa seriously in the slightest

  7. How very……original. Ignorant woman.

  8. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 11:26am

Why do we have so many stories about nutty obscure Americans on PN these days? Don’t we have enough nutters of our own to contend with?

    1. I’ve noticed that.

      It’s quite annoying.

Seriously PN – this story really is not a story of interest to many people in the UK.

Perhaps some editing may be in order in terms of what stories you publish.

      1. I’m interested in the fight for marriage equality in US and have been following the Prop 8 Trial throughout, what happens there ends up over here often enough to make it our business.
These are the same guys that have been largely responsible for the threatened holocaust conditions for gays in Uganda, if you personally aren’t interested in gay fights for rights in other countries then fair enough, just go to another story.

        1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 12:11pm

Indeed Pavlos, these stories remind us surely that even in Western countries, progress still needs to be made.
I’m also interested how our community is being treated worldwide so these stories are welcome.

          1. That’s interesting, just the other day you were whining that there are too many Americans on here and that Americans shouldn’t comment.

          2. It is interesting to compare other nations and what happens and is useful to have a balance of nations experiences on here so that LGBT communities can learn from each other

        2. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 12:28pm

Sure, those stories are fair enough, but ones like this are of limited interest our side of the pond and can be picked up on US websites. I’d like to see more investigative journalism on our own opponents, such as who funds them and how they get away with charitable status when they are political.

          1. The thing is, here in America we are a republic. Or at least try to be. I don’t know why the british would be interested since our mode of law is very very very different. The United Kingdom is still under feudalism.

          2. Er wrong again Pepa

        3. Marriage equality in the US is interestnig to an international audience.

As is the proposed genocide in Uganda.

The opinion of some unknown politician in Missouri really is of no major significance to anyone except those in Missouri

The trouble is that Pink News seems to be sourcing FAR too many of their stories from US news sites.

If Pink News needs to lift stories from other news sources that’s fine.

However they should make more of an effort to make the stories appealing to their readership.

We will never hear from this woman again. She is not on anyone’s radar here.

          1. There is a direct route for rhetoric from these chrisatian fundamentalists to our own. It is wise to keep an eye on them as you can be sure whatever strategy they come up with will appear this side of the pond. Forewarned is forearmed. Just watch for the similarities when the equal marriage consultations start.

          2. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 2:20pm

I get the feeling people like Vicky Hartzler are projecting their own actions and fantasies and instead of birching themselves in punishment blaming all others.

          3. The other thing is that there is this anglo-merger of both the US and the UK, I been noticing. I mean many Americans were fixated with the sick ritual of the degenerate royal family’s wedding. Many US politicians calling for UK style laws and soviet socialist medicine. And there are many other factors that play into this apparent takeover, mainly that of the merger of corporations and banks across the pond. This is repulsive to me. I don’t want to live in a socialist/oppressive Naz1 style model of the UK. I believe in national sovereignty and real freedom.

          4. Pepa

This is not a thread to debate the merits or demerits of the US/UK socio economic or political systems

This is about the rampant homophobia of a tea party republican (like yourself) who is degenerate, ignorant and irresponsible …

Your views on other issues are irrelevant to this thread

    2. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 12:09pm

Clearly because the nuttiest of ’em at the moment are in the US.

      1. LOL.
don’t mind all the Islamic nations that EXECUTE gays
        What an ignorant stupid comment.
(Oops its not PC to call out Islamofascists’ homophobia only christians and americans).

      2. Absolutely the most crazed are in the US

    3. burningworm 9 Jun 2011, 10:45am

America is a very young nation. The woman is part of a movement that thinks slavery was a footnote and that the native american’s are an allegory.

The story matters because we are a nation under the realm of a queen that is the ghost head of a religion. Her silence is deafening.

The Europeans are a more sneaky and covert. We are part of older nations.

      1. They are a very young nation – still juvenile in many ways – think they know better – they will learn …

  9. They said the same about interracial marriages too. Stupid, ignorant and irrelevant scare-mongering. I don’t feel angry with people like this – I just feel very sad at their ignorance.

    1. if you go check out Prop.8 TrialTracker you’ll see that see is repeating almost word for word the blurb from the anti-gay Alliance Defence Fund advertss, they have some of them posted up at the momen, it’s all there.
      (Scroll down a little and you’ll see them, “How does same sex marriage affect you” and “Why defend marriage”}

      1. P.S. you’ll see pepa’s favourite terminology too “radical homosexual activist’s” etc. so we know who he is allied to.

        1. Thanks for that, Pavlos. I’m struggling to think of anything polite to say about that idiotic advert. What I notice is how they try to twist pro-equal marriage information to perpetuate the importance of their ‘fight’. People have pointed out that letting couples of the same sex marry won’t affect anyone else – so ADF have an ad that encourages people to take it for granted that gay marriages will affect everybody – and with silly ‘evidence’ too.
I sometimes wish someone would (jokingly, of course) start a similar campaign about the ‘dangers’ of straight marriage – after all, one man and one woman could just as easily lead to polygamy, incest, blah blah. But it’d be such a pointless, stupid thing to do that no-one would bother.
What ARE these total losers distracting themselves from in their OWN lives by constantly persecuting others?

          1. The fact is that the majority of gays DO NOT want to be married to each other.
I think gay marriage is a good thing. It brings stability, maturity, responsibility, and good health. But the majority don’t want it. That’s where I come from… Just being realistic.

          2. “What ARE these total losers distracting themselves from in their OWN lives by constantly persecuting others?”
Isn’t that funny? I speak my mind and I get persecuted by those who preach on not persecuting people. Its all much of a dog’s dinner.

          3. @Pepa

Provide the evidence for your assertion

  10. Why doesn’t shejust say ‘I’m a christian therefore I hate people and want to harm and hurt and divide people as that is what my religion teaches.’

    1. That would require honesty and integrity which are clearly not christian fundamentalist values.

    2. What? Do you want her to hate you now?
Again, some of you wonder I don’t find gay sex activists genuine at all. They want the homophobes to really hate us.
Is this level of homophobia not enough for you? lol

      1. @Pepa
What on earth are you going on about, it appears you are becoming more convoluted and obtuse by the hour.

        1. @JohnK

I would personally describe his diatribes as demented

          1. Stu
I would have to agree, diatribes from a very peculair tribe of demented fermentatons.
            So to speak

    3. There seem to be at least two types of christianity: those who go to church and practise hatred of those who are different; and those who do not go to church, do not claim to be christian, but who hold what would be called christian values. Christian values being to care, to help, to save. In other words, be human.

This woman is an ignorant, sad individual, who even more sadly has been given a voice. A voice to spread hatred, fear, and rank stupidity amongst those who are too dim to use the half braincell they were born with to think logically.

What is doubly sad is that she is too stupid to realise that spouting this crap shows her up, publicly, for the fool that she is.

Too many terrible things are done in the name of religion. “I can say and do whatever I like because I belong to a church”. No wonder people are leaving the church in droves.

As for Jock Strap, and Pepa: Give some others some airspace. Please!

      1. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 12:32pm

        @jo marsh…
……As for Jock Strap, and Pepa: Give some others some airspace. Please! There is space for everyone some of these threads have been known to go to over 600 comments and as far as i know can be infinate. However if you feel constrained by the volume of any one posters comments that is your problem and your capacity to respond. However i would ignore pepa/rich if i were you……. he is an American trolll affiliated to the vile Tea Party and even viler (if thats possible) Republican party.

    4. Pepa is a joke. S/he mouths all the talking points of the religious wrong. S/he also uses terms like “radical homosexual activists”, etc that are not used by any GLBT people I know. When something is particularly glaring I report it. The Xtians can go somewhere else. IF I want to hear their crap there are more than enough churches around.

  11. I now I shall compare her to an idiot repubulican religious nutcase.

    Oh wait, she is one!

  12. And there is a gay tea party group too!

    Like gay tories

    1. Yer Pepa’s a member ….. cos right wing paranoia unless the Tea Parties involved

      1. I thought you peeps were going to ignore me.

        1. @Pepa
Look who is calling names now. On another thread you were claiming that you were the victim of all these LGBT people?

        2. @Pepa

Its all just a game to you isnt it

      2. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 12:35pm

….now he thinks talking ABOUT him is talking to him….lol…….. desperate or what?

  13. Not news – Teabagging christofascist lunatic indulges in hateful behaviour with little logic or cogent thought. If these scum actually get a foothold in the US, then the UK and the EU should turn our backs.

  14. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 11:56am

    What a disgusting woman…
What a disgusting excuse for a human being… another one.
As usual they’re use the same crap for their arguement against marriage Equality which have absolutely no logic.
This is still about 2 adult being in love.
May I suggest that the rest of their arguments is where These vile people minds are at.
It’s as if they don’t trust themselves.
Same rhetoric, same sh!t, same religious excuses.

We get it these kinds of religious people will never allow humanity to progress.
Thank Lordy, they are starting to become a minority in most decent societies.

  15. Why would she bring up incest, pedos and polygamy? I don’t understand how you jump from gay marriage to those things? She must just have them on her mind. Maybe she is a closet pedo who was incestually abused as a child that wants to get live in a polygamous marriage. Slck bltch.

    1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 12:14pm

Clearly because this is where HER mind is at.
Then she has the gall to call this community perverts.
      Nothing but a hypocrite.
Take away there right and see them squeal.
Truth is they do not stand for humanity, quite the reserve.

    2. Sick bitch, yes, that probably sums iher up eddy two.
This beast reminds me of Iris Robinson, I wouldn’t be surprised if she is shagging the local butcher and his son considering her probably loveless marriage, consisting as it must of one man and one dog …and you know there’s a name for that type of relationship.

    3. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 12:40pm

Because they all read from the same pre-prepared script, on the basis if you repeat a big lie often enough, people will believe it. Also it shifts attention from a not-so-threatening scenario (gay marriage) to one that people find more readily disgusting (paedophilia, bestiality etc.) , it’s setting up a straw man that is easier to knock down, because they have no genuine rational argument.

      1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 1:03pm

There’s a funny explanation of straw men on the Internet here:

  16. Wingnuts always go on about ‘protecting marriage’ by banning gay marriage. But surely the best way to ‘protect marriage’ would be to ban heterosexual divorce and heterosexual adultery (why you’d even get Biblical endorsement of this).

But then again the right wing are very good at turning a bling eye to the ‘immorality’ of the majority and condemming what they perceive as the ‘immorality’ of a minority like the gay community.

  17. Yes ms whatsherface of the tea party!

We should legalize gay marriage and legally recognize polyamorous/group relationships! however, even us queers know that someone has to be at a certain age of maturity to be able to fully consent to a relationship like one that could lead to marriage, so the 50 year old and 12 year old is off the table..DUH!

we have morals too ya know, only they revolve around consent and honesty not biggoty and fear

    1. Thank you! Well said! I get so sick of this comparing us with pedophiles. GLBT and pedophilia are not even in the same league. Dumb bible bangers.

  18. we expect that educared person first to understand…but on this case lady who like here..should keep to the closet for a good purpose…..

  19. Vicky Hartzler “We’re saying marriage is between a man and a woman.”

And we are saying that is nothing more than a bumper sticker slogan, it is not a reason to exclude same sex couples from marriage.

We are saying marriage can be contracted by two persons of the opposite sex and by two persons of the same sex.

And as it’s the case that in at least 10 countries, and also in certain jurisdictions of US and Mexico, same sex marriages are now legally performed, I’m pleased to tell you Vicky Hartzler that your bumper sticker slogan is already as obsolete as it is untrue.

  20. HelenWilson 8 Jun 2011, 12:43pm

“Ms Hartzler, a member of the Tea Party”

No need to sat any more than she is a tea bagger loony fruitcake. The Americans really need potential congressmen/women to undergo a mental competence test before they get elected.

    1. Amen. Most if not all the Rethuglican contenders for office should be committed for life. Absolutely insane people. I suspect a large portion of those who vote for them should probably be as well.

  21. Anyone who sufferes from dogma compliance syndrome must be removed from any place of power.

    1. Dogma compliance syndrome, I like that.
Is dogma compliance syndrome a diagnosis nowadays? it should be if not.

    2. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:57am

Unfortunately in the 50s and 60s in the USA most state hospitals for the insane were closed and the inmates toosed ont he streets.

where true to catholic dogma, they multiplied and multiplied.

We should require these people to ake a real birth control pill. gonads And ovaries dissollve.

      1. Yes, in UK it was termed “care in the community” in other words pathologically insane people were now released from secure institutions and onto the streets.

  22. Check out her book:

She received ‘God’s call’ to politics it seems. Coveniently, God seems to have all the same prejudices as her so that’s a big thumbs up from the Big Man then *rolls eyes*
Sad. Not sad because she’s religious, but sad because I’d guess there’s very little hope of her seeing sense.

    1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 12:59pm

I’d just say there’s very little hope and leave at that.
These people don’t want or do positive.

    2. HelenWilson 8 Jun 2011, 1:05pm

Maybe we need a elite squad of queer hitmen/women to take out all these crazies before they get into power?

    3. Iris, thanks for the link, I was about to say is this women a “Fundamentalist Christian” by chance!

    4. It’s amazing how smothly she seems to avoid dealing with all the incest and polygamy recorded in the Old Testament, isn’t it?

    5. “God seems to have all the same prejudices as her ”

Yeah, funny that, Iris, isn’t it? They all that that slogan in common:- “god thinks as hatefully as I do”

    6. God’s call? The arrogance and the ego of these people, that god speaks directly do them (ditto Palin, ditto O’Donnell). Funny thing is that when people in the UK hear voices, we send them to a doctor. When people in the US hear voices, they get elected to power.

  23. Jen Marcus 8 Jun 2011, 1:05pm

I am truly disappointed in the American people that they are so ignorant and backward that they would elect such narrow minded, unenlightened, bigoted people like this woman into office. It certainly doesn’t say much for the American education system. I think Thomas Jefferson must be rolling over in his grave!

  24. We can’t be complacent about these sort of things, because if we’re not careful, we’ll end up with the same nutters doing just that in the UK. Its bad enough we have a rabidly homophobic Daily Mail spawning and supporting homophobes of the Melanie Phillips ilk. Then we have the other nutters like Stephen Green and of course, the state cult’s Rowan Williams and Murphy-O’Connor, and the religious clerics in the House of Lords, as if that isn’t bad enough. We have to be vigilant that we don’t allow this sort of thing to take root in our own country.

It always amazes me that scumbags like this piece of evil don’t go after the very people she claims support polygamy, e.g. STRAIGHTS. None of these demagogues attack straight adulterers, philanderers and other hetero bed hoppers, all of whom are the real threat to marriage both religious and civil. Its been going on since the dawn of civilisation and now its the fault of same-sex marriage (SSM)? What an idiot.

    1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 1:44pm

BTW, when I looked at it, most of the people commenting on The Daily Mail Online on (anti) gay things seemed to be from the Bible States in the USA, which is a bit odd.

But I think we should make an effort not to let them wind us up, they are most defeated by implacable cool reason, and no one looks good when they get angry. That’s also how trolls get their rocks off, looking for an angry exaggerated response.

      1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 2:26pm

I had noticed that whenever I’ve followed a usual Daily Mail anti Gay – er – I would call it news but when the Daily Mail reports it there is usually so much removed, lets call the mewtings.
Anyway with the Anti Gay Daily Mail Mewtings the comment are usually a large number of USA Bigots spouting vile uneducated remarks.

        1. The daily mail has 1000X times the readership than PN.
So by calling them names is well… pathetic.

          1. @Pepa
So why have you decided to post day and night on PN rather than the Daily Mail?

          2. Go and join the Daily Mail chat board then …

  25. Jen, they are that stupid that they elected 87 people, right wing nutters called Tea Partyers who are the very people controlling the conservative republican party and control of one of the two Houses. They could well gain control of the Senate in 2012, since Obama’s ratings are now dropping rapidly. They gave the shop away for refusing to draw a line in the sand. The Tea Partyers want a theocracy and none of them believe there is a separation of church and state. They are mostly being funded by the infamous Koch brothers, multi billionaires devoted to right wing advancement and high on their list is the total disenfranchisement of gay people. They are the latter day neo-fascists seeking the final solution for LGBT people in America and there are enough dumb Americans who subscribe to it and give them the power they crave. No, it doesn’t speak very well of the American education system

    1. These people frighten me. There are ministers actively calling for the execution of GLBT people

These people want us dead and if they get significant power in this country I have no doubt they will be trying to impliment a “Final Solution. I want to go to Canada but my husband doesn’t see what these people are working towards. They are hateful and they are dangerous to GLBT people.

  26. Most Pedos can already marry – they are Hetrosexual – Stupid ignorant American Bitch!!!

    1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 1:55pm

But one that is in an obscure US legislature that is not worth giving much attention, let alone getting angry over her childish views.

  27. i always like the one where they say “why not let them marry their pets” – my cat has so many good qualities and my ex so many bad ones ….

    1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 2:12pm

Like if we allow freedom of religion it’s the slippery slope to child sacrifice or temple prostitution.

      1. The bible condones slavery.

        Burn all bibles I say.

        1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 2:39pm

Yes, the religious want to kill or enslave our children! Same logic.

        2. The bible also permits us to bring our children to the top of mountains to chop their heads off, and wait for god to tell us he was just kidding….

          1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 3:50pm

Brilliant! I already stoned two for being disobedient!

        3. Yeah book burning, brilliant suggestion. Isn’t that what the people who claim the bible condones slavery do. Oh no thats crosses isn’t it, or maybe its books as well.

    2. They are reciting lines from their other dunces Bible, a book called “The Homosexual Agenda” ” Exposing the Principal Threat To Religious Freedom Today”… allegedly.

    3. burningworm 9 Jun 2011, 10:51am

I like real, hardcore fundamentalist Christians. She isn’t one of them. She is a modern christians who picks and chooses, its a bore. They don’t adhere to their teachings. They
divorce and live in idolatry and believe in this idea that as americans they have some special privilege on this earth.

  28. Missouri is the “Show Me” state. It’s looking like it’s showing me just how STUPID some of their elected officials really are. My only hope is that her constituants distance themselves from her.

  29. Would love to of been there and counter her.

If 3 people feel they can love each other equally let them. If family members love each other than let them. As for older and younger, they keep quoting ages… It’s not the age gives legislate against it’s them saying the person isn’t mature enough to comprehend a relationship and act on feeling and romance etc.

Personally none of it’s for me but, I’m sure 3 people can love each other, and I’m sure a younger person say 12 can comprehend and love and older person it’s happened throughout history and still in remote or more liberal corners of the world today I’d imagine.

Perhaps we are all too scared to grow up.

But when you draw lines and absolutes she is right where do you stop? I should ask her what faith or national heritage she is reply sorry you can’t be married. Example We can’t allow Jewish people to marry we have to draw a line or next you’ll be wanting black people marrying white people or foreigners, Not in USA buddy!

    1. I hate auto spell it messes my writing up.

I just want to make clear I don’t support pedophilia or anything like that, and when someone is being taken advantage of it’s sick and wrong I just think, a) her examples are sick and wrong and no excuse to deny us equality b) we as a global society need to mature on this subject and realise we can’t always use a blanket age on people some will be ready for relationships before others. We should care and guide those that need it, not punish and restrain , while those who ardent mentally and emotionally capable should be protected and educated.

At the end of the day all the things she is comparing us to happen without us and if 2 people willingly get married despite age with full understanding is it still peadophilia ? At moment yes but that’s because what the law and society has it engrained into them.

In 50 years ? Who knows.

Again idont support abuse but feel we can’t just blanket every issue the same as that’s the law.

    2. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 2:49pm

Marriage is a legal contract intended to last for life, so it requires an adult level of competence and understanding. Maybe the age should be increased to 18 in the UK to reflect this?

      1. That’s stupid because thats saying anyone under 18 doesent have the emotional or mental capacity for a lon loving relationship. I think law as is, states married at 16 with permission, gypsy community does this it’s their way, 18 without consent as your recognised as legal adult.

18 adult thing I get as your out of education and in the big bad world.

Marriage is so old. I hate how religion try’s to claim it. It was around when kings blessed unions, fathers send daughters to wealthy families to increase their standing etc.

The state legal contract binding two people together. The union of two mates together is a true beginning of the species moment. It’s what we do. It’s why I like swans. .^^ they mate for life.

  30. Paddyswurds 8 Jun 2011, 2:48pm

I truly do think the USA is focked if this lot get power. I’ve said it before the brealup of the USA is only a matter of a few years away and when that happens we can all k!ss our ass’s goodbye cause they will start lobbing nukes at each other. The whole melting pot experiment has failed aand they are already killing each other at an alarming rate and for the pettiest of excuses. The religious crowd are also playing on the ignorance that is rife amongst lower middle class Americans or blue collar as they say over there.

  31. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 2:49pm

Would you adam and eve it?
I just had, for the third time this year, the bloody Christians and their @*$%ing Watch Tower!!!

When did you last see a Gay/Lesbian couple at ya door talking about being Gay/Lesbian and dishing out copies of Gay Times?

    1. Jock S. Trap 8 Jun 2011, 2:52pm

Oo-er I didn’t type theiring I put four symbols then ing so I’ll correct the politest way I can (and you can blame PinkNews software for this!)
“… bloody Christian and their ‘Fracking’ Watch Tower!!!”

I had no choice but to spell it a different way. This thing doesn’t like symbols apparently.

      1. Once was leaving hospital from seeing grandmother and two guys on bikes were all like cone to the church hear the words of God. I’m like really not my thing mate.

And another nut, was years ago now was walking by local local morrisons and this old woman comes out of nowhere at me going all like REPENT YOUR SINS !!!!!!

I so almost instinctively punched. Mad old bat scared crap out of me. Only 4 things scare me.

Being alone, zombies, death, religious people.

    2. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 2:54pm

Invite them in and give them a long speech.

      1. Dan Filson 8 Jun 2011, 3:40pm

I once held up two JWs on the doorstep for over 30 minutes. Obviously they must have been green. Eventually my knees got tired and I shooed them on their way.

        1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 3:59pm

My friends always invite them in, make it clear they are a gay couple and usually the JW’s get uncomfortable and want to leave as soon as possible.

    3. Galadriel1010 9 Jun 2011, 12:13am

We never get them around our way.

I do occasionally get the street preachers approaching me, and I’m too polite to tell them to shove off because I have shoes to buy, and the easiest way to get rid of them is to tell them you beloieve and to have a nice day. It’s a bit creepy when they can tell from a distance that you’re christian, but they’ll still let you go and be cheerful and lovely to you.

      1. Jock S. Trap 9 Jun 2011, 8:09am

I would happily shove opps sorry send them your way Galadriel1010!!

  32. I hope I havn tome across and some sort of molester supporter …. I just want more maturity and thought in how we treat things and not panick and instant demonisation.

I swear sometimes republicans wish they had a time machine so they could go and opress people in past. Stop the freein of the slaves etc, get more ideas for better concentration camps. The ones they have are getting pretty full I’d imagine with all them people held without legal aid or a trial.

Ok that was a bit bitchy sorry but like others jaw said It seems like every day there’s a childish republican hating on gay people and everyone for no reason.

    Get me down :(

I want my bf he makes it better ^^

    1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 2:58pm

Actually you are coming across as a troll.

      1. Which is a very troll thing to say…. I don’t mean to blow your perception of the Internet but not everyone is a troll. So you can breath.

I was just concerned I was coming over wrong.

And before you call someone a troll please look at most of your own posts. Not exactly full of thought provoking or material to discuss.

        1. Ooer missus 8 Jun 2011, 4:03pm

  33. She’ll have a vile skeleton in her closet. Her type always do.
    It’s just a matter of time…

    1. Ward and George in Hawaii 8 Jun 2011, 7:53pm

INDEED! and that skeleton develops into the great book of runes and riddles — Chock a Block with swinish shenanigans

  34. Art Pearson 8 Jun 2011, 4:02pm

I continue to be amazed at the ignorance of some supposedly well educated people in the 21st century.

    1. Paddyswurds 8 Jun 2011, 8:04pm

      @Art Pearson…
……education isn’t a high priority in Missouri. Those that do go to school usually leave by age 15. Missouri is one of those states where you don’t want to get a breakdown on a dark night. You just might never be seen again, specially if they think you might be a yankee. You just look in the mirror if you want to see a pic of your grandfather and uncle and several other close relatives. Inbreeding and incest is not something they fret about
This is a state where they believe that 17 billion people perished in “Noahs Flood” and where they think the Flintstones is history, I kid you not.

  35. Simon Halliwell 8 Jun 2011, 4:37pm

    the bitch

  36. More proof than religion makes you stupid

  37. the woman is to be ignored now and after she loses her political job. Let us move on and not waste time with silly empty headed females.

  38. Hartzler just gave credence to a remark Judge Judy made years ago: to paraphase: Looks fade but stupid is forever!!

  39. PeterinSydney 8 Jun 2011, 9:49pm

Another hypocrite from the GOP! How soon before she is caught out ?

  40. Nothing wrong with her that a damn good rogering wouldn’t cure; her and the pope.
A reet good tuppin’ lass, that’d sort thee aht…!

  41. Galadriel1010 9 Jun 2011, 12:14am

I really worry about the USA.

    1. Jock S. Trap 9 Jun 2011, 8:11am

      Calm down, dear!!

    2. Using all caps is like shouting at us, it’s not necessary here, turn your Caps Lock off Carrie.

      1. Paddyswurds 9 Jun 2011, 11:04am

…..sadly, while Carries heart is in the right place, I think her brain is a stranger to education and the English language, so the concept of Caps Lock may be somewhat of a mystery. This proves my point about education in Missouri and in the US in general.

    3. Simon Halliwell 9 Jun 2011, 10:18am

      Cool your jets now….

  43. johnny33308 9 Jun 2011, 3:32am

It’s the same old bigoted clap trap they always drag out-faulty logic is still nothing but faulty logic and bigotry hidden in religious dogam is still bigotry. These people need to be reminded Civil marriage and Secular society are out of their control, no matter how much they wish to control everyone. Fundamentalism in any religion is pure EVIL. It has nothing to do with the religion and everything to do with controlling people against their will! Christofascist evil bigots should all go to hell….now, please….

  44. billy wingarden 9 Jun 2011, 6:31am

Evangelical christians – the people here in America who gave us slavery, the kkk, and segregation.

Republicans – full of these people, who really are little different then hitler, except in the level of violence. these people (i use the terms loosely) came to the republican party when Pres Johnson in 1964 passed the civil rights act for black folks.

And he said “I;ve given the south to the republicans for a hundred years.

he was correct. the only think he missed was that they would also find another group to hate.

I’m all for a devils Island. America – the home of the free who use hatred to drive 3000 kids a year to suicide in the name of their god.

  45. What sort of moral reasoning is this? The examples this womens used just aren’t morally comparable, what is she talking about? How is allowing more adults to get married…ADULTS… in a consensual relationship going to lead to people being allowed to marry children? A three year old driving a car?!! How does that connect with a consensual partnership between adults? This womens logic is all over the place. My guide to critical thinking and fallacious arguements doesn’t seem to mention appeal to b..ll…ks but I think perhaps its inclusion should be considered.

  46. burningworm 9 Jun 2011, 10:37am

Hopefully Gay marriage leads to polygamists being ‘allowed’ to get married.

    Gay polygamists;bring it on!

    1. Jock S. Trap 9 Jun 2011, 10:44am

      Erm… do what?
Whole lot of crazy goin on there burningworm!

      No-ones after Gay marriage.
      Just Equal marriage.

      1. burningworm 9 Jun 2011, 3:34pm

        Seriously though.

Why equal marriage among pairs. Why not four or 13. What is so special about two? A biological recreation. Male-Female/Adam-Eve/Mother-Father/Husband-Wife/
        Male-Male/Eve-Eve/Wife-Wife/… Why two.

We should be moving beyond a biological dictum.

        1. Jock S. Trap 9 Jun 2011, 4:12pm

Because thats the way it goes.
There are countries that allow polygamists and that might be fine for them but usually they are countries where men see women as just possessions and nothing else.
In most commited relationships it is two people.
          The law states two people.
Not forgetting a lot of those countries, love doesn’t coming into it because the marriages are arranged.
Even when there is love there is still the main love, usually the first.
Why does accepting the LGBTQI community as human beings Equally suddenly open up the floodgates to the obsessive?
This is about the way things go in nature. We usually fall in love with one other and vise versa.
The natural order of things should be that two people should be able to marry, regardless of sex.
          It should be natural law.
This country doesn’t usually see a relationship as a possession.
It means something to be together.
          It should be celebrated.
What your on about is a completely different cattle of fish.

          1. burningworm 13 Jun 2011, 12:44pm

You believe in the illusion of inclusion. Its tax, its finance. Be honest.

The marriage of two, or the way it has always been is a religious notion. You as a male assume that men will take many wives. Women many take many wives and husbands. There is no head. There is prism. Its a means to challenge this accepted natural order.

Equal is not enough. There is no equality here. We like every other disinfranchised group must either bend our backs or lift them up. We are the worlds teachers, you can’t live on the edge of a city for centuries and then bend your back and swallow all that is being presented. Lift up your back, or straighten it up.

          2. Jock S. Trap 13 Jun 2011, 1:23pm

Your clearly on a different path.
The rest of us just want Equality, the right to choose marriage if we wish it to the 1 person we love and wish to settle with.
We just want to be Equal, nothing more and no more anything less.

      2. burningworm 9 Jun 2011, 3:34pm

not wrestling with an established ideal that is far from being ideal.

  47. ActionParsnip 9 Jun 2011, 12:28pm

She seems to miss the point that simply adding an extra group to whom can get married isn’t abolishing all limits. Skewed view as usual with the homophobes/christians/both. What a moron

  48. If I were in that room, I would definitely walk out for being too educated to listen to rubbish!!! So what if a man and two women want to marry? Isn’t she aware that polygamous relationships were plenty in the Old Testament? In fact Abraham and his wife Sarah were half brother and sister. At the end of the day, they are adults and they make that choice. BUT to compare gay marriage to a man marrying a 12 years old is STUPID. A 12 years old is still under her parents’ care, and is not physically or mentally prepared for marriage. So this woman is an insult to intelligence. In Arab countries that allow an adult to marry a minor, kids are prepared for such life. I don’t see HOW gay marriage will encourage pedophilia. In the past during Pederasty, little boys were prepared for that lifestyle, as such it wasn’t pedophilia. This woman is a disgrace, but then again she is a Republican.

    1. Lyuba Tereshchenko 10 Jun 2011, 4:04am

Too bad this forum doesn’t allow me to type in Cyrillic alphabet. That way I could curse this suka of a congresswoman properly. And people like her have access to nuclear weapons?

      1. Paddyswurds 11 Jun 2011, 1:04pm

      2. lol but you could always phoneticise.

  49. Techiechick 22 May 2012, 11:11am

like HELLO polygamy was only outlawed in 1862 in the US,so it was not always just “one man and one woman” stupid dumb bitch.Allow a 50 yr uncle to marry a 12 yr old neice WTF? WHAT PART OF TWO CONSENTING ADULTS DO YOU FAIL TO UNDERSTAND?

  50. For you are not heterosexual pedophile? Like you, for it alone can suffer so bad.
Your fictional as other less sophisticated orientation are exactly the same. These views containing circles is constantly spinning, you do not have anything else you would add for the better? So stop copying others, my tired eyes.
