    What an excellent story.
    Love it.
It’s so good to hear a happy, positive story.
Good on The Surrey Comment for sticking it’s head out and being counted as one of the best.
It’s stories like this that show that not everything has to be negative and that proper balanced reporting is possible and best.
    Well Done!

  5. Great story and good to see some unexpected mainstream local journalists demonstrating that there can be integrity in reporting all sections of the wider community

  6. Nice to see something like this, rather unexpected…

No doubt the usual criticism of it followed… “Oh, I’m not going to buy the paper anymore if it does something like that!” <>

Good stuff. The Vomet (as we used to call it light-heartedly) always was a cut above most local papers then I lived up there, in Kingston. Well done. And how nice to see a set of comments devoid of the whingeings of bitter old queens.

  9. Brilliant, and I hope it creates a real splash locally. Local papers in Britain are usually so God-awful dreary.

    1. Yeah, a splash of colour, pink in this case, doesn’t do anyone any harm… If only my local paper did something like this!!!

Thank you for your great comments, we at the charity are really proud of this – I have been told their other newsaper is now doing the same in the coming edition as part of the groups commitment, very exciting and nice to have some fun in supporting our community :-)
