  1. God Bless America – that is a great decision … the best way he can serve America is to forget any wrong impression that he has that he could lead America effectively

One less nutter from the Rethuglicans – but there’s plenty enough other teabagger nutjobs waiting in the wings.

  3. His whole play was a ruse to try and get a better “reality’ contact. Smug tw@t didn’t seem to realise that many people see so-called “birthers” as racist scum. Hopefully, not only has he shot himself in the foot, he has blown his leg off at the knee. Let there be no more of his vapid, asinine BS television. Scumbag should be getting ready to reap the whirlwind of being a hypocritical, ignorant, mendacious sack of crap.

  4. Quite. This man is just an egotistical self-publicist.

Agree or disagree, at least I can respect a person for their genuinely held beliefs… This man has none!

He has in the past supported public healthcare, donated heavily to democratic candidates…. and now he is a REPUBLICAN?? Really???

Instead, this man should be supporting and running as a candidate for the American version of the Monster Raving Loony Party… (Oh sorry… That IS the Republican Party!)

    God Bless America.

Does anyone else get the feeling that we are seeing the rerun of the last days of the Roman Empire. From where i’m standing it certainly seems like it.
$14 trillion of national debt, $5 trillion of it owed to foreigners, mostly China, three wars on going and the highest unemployment figures for decades with no improvement in sight and highly unlikely because past administrations allowed 99% of the countries manufacturing to go overseas in a bid to get even more profits for a few fatcats. The party of opposition mired in racism and out and out flat earthism, 1.5 million murders a year and the majority of the populace morbidly obese from being fed fake food by uncaring multinational fast food companies.
Is the USA going down the pan?? A distinctly scary prospect.

Mankind has never learned from history. There’s no doubt
that the USA and many other countries are on their last
legs — financial corruption has ruined millions of hard working people, homes, jobs, poor education, out of control
healthcare as the citizens live longer, plus a long list of other plans that have been lost. Perhaps 10 years
and our glory days are history.

    2. It does feel like we’re at the edge of a cliff, waiting for the last straw. What happens with the US military budget, and who they attack next

    Good, no loss there then.
I am surprised PinkNews haven’t run a story on Declared 2012 Republican Presidental candidate Fred Karger.
He is supposed to be a Gay Rights Activist after all and the first openly gay candidate.

It does concern the LGBT community after all he deserves some coverage.

  11. Obama made a fool of him over the birth certificate stuff, imo :-)

But seriuosly, thank heavens he’s not running, his foreign policy was just scary.. “If they have oil and we want it, we’ll just take it”

Actually Trump made a fool of himself over Obama’s birth certificate.
He didn’t need Obama to prove what everyone could see and already knew.
Though he did finish him nicely.

The whole “truther” thing defies belief. The checks a candidate has to go through to become President of the USA are extensive and that someone who had an iffy past or who couldn’t prove definitevly that they were born in the US could become president or Vice president or secetary of state shows how ignorant and racist these people are.
The Bush era has destroyed the USA though and it is extremely doubtful if it can ever recover. There is strong chance that the USA may even break up in the next 25 years and if that happens things will get very nasty. New England and California are quite likely to be first to secede and Texas and Florida following close behind. Then the farming states of Idaho and Wisconsin and Nebraska and the Great Plains states will be next with the poorer states left to rot. The next 50 years will for the USA be pivotal and the finger of blame will be pointed firmly at the Republican Party and the Bush Era.

Just hoping Obama gets another 4 years.
At least that way we know he’ll leave the rest of the world alone unlike the bloddy thristy Republicans.

  12. It was never serious (thank somebody’s God) – just a free publicity wheeze. But if it’s true that lots of Republicans considered him a viable candidate then they are even bigger fruitcakes than I suspected.
