Gay network founder climbs Everest for HIV charity
The founder of gay network Village Drinks is climbing Mount Everest to raise money for charity.
Greg Healey, 30, is currently halfway to the summit after setting off from Kathmandu in April. The expedition is expected to take 85 days.
The keen mountaineer hopes to raise £50,000 for three charities, one of which is Avert, which works to help stop the spread of HIV. His other charities are Interburns and the Wales Air Ambulance.
Mr Healey said: “HIV is an issue of vital importance to so many people, but to gay men in particular. Through our work at Village Drinks I’ve learned so much about this disease and the importance to help keep awareness about it, alive. Please support me by making a small donation to Avert.”
