  1. Facebook is turning out to be a site for losers, its gone from being a tool for social networking (teenagers looking for a sh@g) to just being a platform for saddos to to raise a bit of ire. I’m glad I didn’t jump on that bandwagon.

    1. It’s a bit much to imagine all of Facebook is tainted by this one individual. Most internet groups have their share of nutters, look at some of those that turn up here *cough*Rich*cough*!

        1. Facebook is one of the battlegrounds in the struggle for LGBT rights attainment. Fundies are relentlessly pushing official-looking anti-LGBT propaganda in numerous Facebook groups whose aim is to persuade neutral lurkers that queers are out to recruit kids and destroy marriage-based society yada-yada:

Anti-gay groups to boost spending, activity through 2012 http://bit.ly/lubHnV Silent $$$ backers for this (and NOM)? http://bit.ly/kGGAvW

Thus it is CRUCIAL that LGBT’ers challenge this BS en masse in a respectful & thoughtful manner which exposes the true motives of our opponents.

Interesting to note that the bulk of the comments are related to Facebook and NOT the incident itself.

well thats really the key point- without facebook this bloke would just be a random homophobe ranting abuse (and probably drooling) to himself. Its the power of facebook thats got his comments round the world. Without it i very much doubt it would have come to anyones attention.
