3:10 PM — Gays and lesbians are too frequently stereotyped or shown in a negative light in films, a survey suggests. According to research by the UK Film Council, lesbians are often shown as male fantasies and gay men are depicted too frequently as camp.

2:31 PM — Shadow health minister Diane Abbott has claimed that changes to funding for London HIV services will "threaten and marginalise" gay and bisexual people. Last week, PinkNews.co.uk reported that HIV charities in the capital had been told that the NHS primary care trusts which help to fund their work would be slashing their budgets by 43 per cent.
US schools warned to stop censoring gay websites 51

4:16 PM — The Maryland House has approved a bill to give transgender people more legal protection. However, trans campaigners are angry that the bill does not protect them from discrimination in hotels, restaurants and public toilets.
