It’s good that action is being taken and more proof Rugby is a mans game unlike footbal which will always remain for boys so long as they promote homophobia.
It is good that action is being taken but I think the wording of the warning was misguided
As for football, with a big disclaimer that I think its sad no professional in UK in comfortable to come out (but that this is their choice to make), I do think they play with the correct shaped balls!
Not really a big fan of either game, but I’m reminded of that old phrase: “rugby is a thug’s game played by gentlemen, football is a gentleman’s game played by thugs”. ;)
Not so sure how this relates to the fans, but it seems to hold true for the players. Then again, perhaps that’s just because rugby players aren’t all pampered millionaire prima donnas. :p
Because of *course* the liberty to hurl homophobic abuse *naturally* trumps the liberty of players and supporters to attend a match without prejudiced insults being flung about…?
It really puts the lack of freedoms in Syria, Libya and North Korea in perspective, they thought they had it bad what with the total lack of democracy or basic human rights, but obviously here in the UK liberty has truly died, the ignorant and homophobic of Castleford will no longer be able to verbally assault people on the basis of there being gay! what is this country coming to?

What about Castleford Tigers fans being warned to ensure that homophobic chants directed at ANYONE is not repeated?
You have a point …
There should be no place, anywhere, where homophobia is seen as acceptable

Very true PumpkinPie! Excellent comment.
I always wondered how liberty would die…
