Richard Burton on Elizabeth Taylor:
“She was unquestionably gorgeous. I can think of no other word to describe a combination of plentitude, frugality, abundance, tightness. She was lavish. She was a dark unyielding largesse. She was, in short, too bloody much.”
Dame Elizabeth taylor was an insperation to avery dear friend of mine Ray. who died in 1991 after a decade long battle with AIDS. She was the same to my last partner Richard who faought the same illnes for nearly a decade dying in 1994.
On their behalf I say thank you Dame Elizabeth, you were the last of the mega stars who added glamour and style to our world, Yet still retained the ability to laugh at yourself. I shall miss you being around.
Liz Taylor and Jane Russell in a very short space of time, theres very few lights left in the Hollywood Firmament now. Both true stars and both will be missed…RIP
Thank you Elizabeth, your contribution, when you came out in support of everyone who was ill or those of us who worked with our dying brother’s and sisters with AIDs, you will always be remembered. It was your widely reported American Aids awareness tour that changed many of my generation’s prejudice. Along with Diana, you made many hearts light up in the most dire of circumstances.
A truly wonderful person.Brimming with love and compassion. If anyone knew that life was for living it was her.How unlike the sour insipid so called Christians who plan to picket her funeral. Thank you Liz. Rest well.

God bless you,Liz! R.I.P.
She was a great humanitarian. Who else would have successfully supported the cause of AIDS victims during the repressive, Reagan Administration?
