  1. These debates are starting to happen everywhere it seems.

Appalling though some comments uttered in China may be, the key thing is that there is a debate.

China is opening up and may go through a period of unpleasant homophobia, but the fact there is a debate is very healthy even if the comments made are neanderthal.

  3. “Once same-sex marriage is legalised, it may lead to the debates on legalising ‘multi-partner marriage’ and ‘human-animal marriage’.

They are well rehearsed in the silly slippery slope arguments aren’t they though.

It was inevitable from the start that when heterosexual couples got married then one day ducks would want to marry elephants.

  4. So Scott Lively, Don Schmierer, and Caleb Lee Brundidge are now being paid in Yuans?

  5. Multi partner marriages are practised in Muslim culture for centuries. They seem fine with that. If two or more people would want to spend the rest of their life in loving relationship with me I would be honoured.

And all that discrimination in an officially atheist country.

  7. This is exactly the same approach as many people quoted regarding legalising Cannabis, that occasional use of mild narcotics will turn everyone into psychopathic heroin junkies and crack addicts.

Even after official research proved otherwise, the same old wive’s tales kept resurfacing. It is pretty obvious that the anti-gay lobby are desperately clutching at straws to try and find any way of bringing gay people into disrepute, from multiple marriages, and sex with animals and children. The sooner the average man in the street is educated, the better.

  8. I may be wrong but I wouldn’t eb surprised if those disgusting comments were from Chinese (or a non-Chinese) Christian or, most likely, Muslim.

The thing about China is that it has, by and large, not been infected by the Christianity virus and the Islam virus. So, I don’t think you would have the sort of VICIOUS homophobia that you have in countries that are Christian or, especially, Muslim majority.

Are people so thick that they have to equat equal marriage to multi-partner marriage and human-animal marriage.

I don’t see how they can even justify it as an arguement.

Nothing but a bunch of Losers….and hypocrites!!

  10. RmkO8h I’m not easily impressed. . . but that’s imperssing me! :)
