“not because he is gay, but because his recent public statements regarding his long-term, same-sex partnership are at odds with the beliefs and mission of Chestnut Hill College and the Catholic Church.”

Oh so it was the fact he was gay and happy that was the problem. If he had been self hating and maladjusted that would have been perfectly suitable and not at odds at all with the catholic belief and mission.

They don’t do irony at all do they?

Feel a bit sorry for him, but if youre going to join the Catholic church you sign up to celibacy..straight or gay. Its not as if he was drafted, he had a choice and as far as im concerned its a stupid career to pick!

    1. Martyn, as clearly stated in the article, he is NOT a Roman Catholic, merely teaching at a Catholic college. He and his church, St. Miriam’s are part of the Old Catholic church, distinct from the Roman church.

Gay and a good role model!

    His cards were marked.

    Good luck with the petition.
