5:21 PM — A Tory councillor in Fylde, near Blackpool, has been suspended for six months after more than 1,000 gay porn images were found on his work laptop. Simon Renwick claims someone else malicously downloaded the images, but Fylde council decided to suspend him for not securing the computer properly.
Gay author and Narnia producer Perry Moore dies at 39 11
4:01 PM — Perry Moore, a producer of the Chronicles of Narnia films and an award-winning gay author, has died at the age of 39. He was found dead in the bathroom of his Manhattan apartment by his partner Hunter Hill last Thursday morning.

3:39 PM — Scottish police are more gay-friendly than their counterparts in San Francisco, a researcher claims. According to Northern Constabulary advisor Lisa Buchanan, victims of anti-gay hate crimes are more likely to come forward in Scotland than they are in the traditionally gay-friendly areas of California.

2:34 PM — After coming out last month, cycling world champion Graeme Obree says he plans to write an autobiography. The sportsman, known as the Flying Scotsman, recently admitted that he tried to kill himself twice as he struggled to accept his sexual orientation.
UK education secretary Michael Gove attacks past bans on gay or mixed race adoptions 19
2:06 PM — Education secretary Michael Gove announced new UK government guidelines on adoption today and attacked past limitations on sexual orientation, race and age. Outlining the new guidance, he said that the number of children adopted had fallen in recent years and children spend an average of 21 months in care before being placed with a family.
First UK national forum for LGBT Jews formed 12
1:12 PM — A national forum has been launched for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans Jews. Keshet UK, which means 'rainbow', hopes to challenge prejudice, tackle anti-gay bullying and support Jewish LGBT people in schools, synagogues and social care.
