NY teachers sue after being sacked for ‘naked lesbian romp’
Two female teachers sacked from a New York school after a janitor claimed to have seen them having sex are to sue.
Alini Brito, 30, and Cindy Mauro, 34, were allegedly caught naked in a classroom last November while the rest of the James Madison High School in Brooklyn, new York, was watching a performance.
Janitor Robert Colantuoni said he saw the pair and informed school staff. He claimed that Ms Brito was naked on her back, with Ms Mauro between her legs.
However, court papers filed by Ms Brito say he has an overactive imagination and that Ms Brito, a diabetic, was having a blood sugar crash and the other teacher was giving her sweets.
The New York Post reports that the petition said: “Upon immediately entering the classroom, Brito’s knees buckled, at which point Brito laid down off to the right but at the foot of the classroom door. Mauro assisted Brito by placing Brito’s sweater under her head and elevated her legs in a chair. Mauro also obtained a couple of suger packets from her desk and gave them to Brito.”
Ms Mauro is also set to sue to get her job back.
The pair say that crucial CCTV evidence – which they claim show that the classroom door was never opened – was destroyed by the school.
