  1. Well thank you Joe for recognizing the obvious. Wish our president “evolved” a little more quickly though.

  2. Pat Robinson and all the other ‘faith morons’ will have a fit of the vapours at that announcement from Joe Biden, then they will have mega hissy fits on Fox ‘no-news here’ channel…I can’t wait. What a great present. Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas Santa baby.

  3. Yeah! Vote Biden for President!!! It was really discouraging though to see all the vile, hateful comments being left on this same story over on Yahoo News. :-(

  4. I believe Obama supports gay marriage, if he was to come out and say it, he’d be out of office at the next election with a right winger in the White House. On the other hand, if he manages to keep everybody relatively happy without moving too far, gay marriage will be inevitible and he can sign it in to law after the next election.

Repeal the bigoted and uncontitutioanl DOMA now Obama!!!!!

  6. @ Bill:

Yes! My gods, there were more than a thousand comments there when I read the news yesterday and each more vile than the other. The best rated of them use that tired old argument that pedophilia and necrophilia will become “inevitable” as well. Just revolting.

  7. “Never underestimate the intelligence of the American public”… particularly those south of the Mason-Dixon line and those religious fanatics who are to feeble minded to think for themselves…

and thank you for that great Christmas message of Peace and Love Mr. Vice President.

  8. ”The partners of gay service members will not at this point be given any special rights or any rights that parallel those of a spouse.”

  9. Now how about our own David Cameron declaring support for it. Its not a question of evolving but a question of common sense and decency if he claims he’s for full equality. There is absolutely no logical reason to barr us from marriage for those of us who want that choice. The silence is deafening.

  10. Barack Obama has to be careful.

I don’t want him to be a one term president, and risk the mad Republicans replacing him.

  11. Obama will be a one term president, but it’s not because of this. And Biden did say he was for equal marriage, he said he agreed with the idea of “evolving” towards it. I’ll give him credit when he finally says yes to equality.

  12. It’s all very well obama running roughshod over the constitution, but Brits have to realise 80% of Americans believe in God, even if they aren’t all rabid Bible bashers, so it’s got to be ‘softly, softly, catchee monkey’.

Everything will come to pass eventually, but don’t rush them. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
