    5:33 PM — Givenchy model Lea T has revealed why she decided to be open about being transgender. The Italian model was asked by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci to star in the ads and says that she agreed on the condition of being open about her trans status.

    5:14 PM — Sepp Blatter, the president of FIFA, has dismissed concerns that Qatar is unsuitable to host the 2022 World Cup because of its attitude to homosexuality saying that gay football fans should refrain from having homsexual sex while in the country.

    3:56 PM — Police are investigating after around 40 books on gay and lesbians issues were destroyed at Harvard University's library. The texts apparently had urine poured over them and police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

  • Police arrest Rome gang over gay drug robberies

    3:36 PM — Italian police have arrested a gang in Rome for allegedly drugging and robbing at least 50 tourists outside a gay bar. The gang was arrested after one of its alleged victims was found dead in Colle Oppio park.

  • Gay ban hotel owners to claim they were set up 51

    The hotel owners say they do not allow any unmarried couples to share rooms

    1:04 PM — A Christian couple who are being sued for banning gay couples from sharing rooms at their Cornwall hotel are expected to claim they were set up by Stonewall. Peter and Hazelmary Bull, who own the Chymorvah Private Hotel in Cornwall, are being sued for discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.

  • Founding president of gay group PFLAG dies 4

    PFLAG is a support group for parents and friends of gay people

    11:22 AM — The founding president of US group Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) has died at the age of 90. Adele Starr reacted badly when her son came out in 1974 but overcame her negative feelings to establish the support group for the loved ones of gays and lesbians.

    11:15 AM — Carrie Fisher has suggested that it is well-known that John Travolta is gay. The actress, who was the original Princess Leia in Star Wars, was speaking to gay magazine Advocate.
