  1. Apparently, the years of substance abuse took their toll on “Sir” Elton, as they obviously affected his judgment, allowing him to perform at the wedding of one of the biggest homophobes in the United States, earlier this year.

  2. Did he ever change his mind on gay marriage?

  3. On the verge of a spliff overdose. This prat is more idiotic than I ever imagined. Go back into the closet Elton. You’re an embarrassment and disgrace and you have no idea whatsoever how real gay people live or feel.

  4. Mark: Since when was the “Homosexuals Charter” issued?
I was unaware we now had to follow certain rules of etiquette.

People are people, some happen to be gay. The only similarity I have with you and most others on here is who I choose to sleep with.

  5. Mark if you took time to read the story fully it was cocaine that he was addicted to. As you know, you don’t normally ‘overdose/die’ when smoking spliffs, however I do (personally) know people whose lives have been ruined by cocaine addiction. By the way how old were you in the late 70’s early 80’s??? I was only a kid but remember his public battle with ‘substance’ addiction ie both alcohol and class A.s.

  6. Remember the brains behind the outfit was Bernie Taupin. Diamonds and Taras shouwed him to be a very silly man. He could donate £1m to the Albert Kennedy trust and buy a house for homeless kids

Elton who? Yawn and… yawn again.
    Right on Mark.

  8. I’m really not thinking this is a news story, it’s hardly even a gay story but rather a drug story and a tedious one at that.

may I beg a period of silence from this sedlf-publiciser?

    Reg, we’re just Not INTERESTED!

  10. If any of us had done a fraction of what Elton did for gay causes we might have right to criticize. Until then…” wonderful life is now you’re in the world…”
Thank you Elton and David for being good role models and wish you all possible happiness. Bless you.
