  1. Why did you say everything twice?

  2. Why is the money going to the bar, when its was the patrons that received the abuse?

  3. About time this was addressed but money alone will not make this go away. The criminal trials need to begin.

Being from Atlanta, this has certainly been a shameful event in our city. I am thrilled that the Atlanta City Council (who has gay member Alex Wan) voted to pay compensatory damages. Let this be a lesson to the police that bullying will not be tolerated.

  5. The money is a nice start. The money should go to the patrons who were hassled and abused. However, there should be criminal trials as well It is time to start teaching the police and other haters that there will be consequences unless they leave us alone.

  6. Get at their pocketbook and their hearts and minds might just follow. But religious hatred, which is at the root of all this trouble never ends.

Look at what the idiot Bush unleashed when he invaded Iraq and brought down the maniac whose one saving grace was he kept the sunnis and shiites from each others throats. A hatred still alive 1300 years after Mohammed PBUH died, and the war began over who was his successor

Conservative religions, regardless of brand name, are the curse of ALL humanity

“Three staff were arrested for dancing naked without permits” — oh but if they had permits, it’d be hunkydory with the cops then? How idiotic.

I agree with those who say the financial settlement for the abusive/abuse of power behaviour pales in comparison to the victory of criminal proceedings against those officers who acted illegally.
