    It’s highly unlikley that anyone will be punished for this. It’s more likely the killer will be honoured. Jamaica – what a vile place.

    It was not an activist that was killed it was a transgendered male to female (pre-op) who was in female attire.

  4. @ Jamaican Gay — not sure what your point is. If your information is correct, a trans woman can indeed be gay (or straight or bi, as the case may be) and if she was an activist, then the term “gay activist” is appropriate. Her death is a horrific tragedy and any insistance by the media on focusing on her pre-op status or birth gender (calling her ‘he’ even though she is a trans woman, as you claim) only ads to the pain of those who knew and loved her and validates those who hated her enough to kill her.
