  1. Shouldn’t that be, “if you’re a man, a woman, or non-binary identified”? Many trans people are men or women. Silly pope.

    Erm…. thanks?

  3. Why does amyone take notice of anything from the Vatican?
Outdated, divisive, hate engendering political anachronism.

  4. Its a start I guess :-s

  5. A start?
    Decades late.
At this rate the Vatican may be ‘in touch’ by about 2200 AD!

  6. “gay rights activist Peter Tatchell said: “If the Pope can change his stance on condoms, why can’t he also modify the Vatican’s harsh, intolerant opposition to women’s rights, gay equality, fertility treatment and embryonic stem cell research?”

Just fickle I guess or maybe self-interest has gotten the better of him and he’s worried that gorgeous George might be playing away…unprotected?

  7. …how about an apology to all the people infected directly as a result of the Vatican’s dogmas?

  8. I think the good pope is showing early signs of neurological complications brought on by late stage syphilis.

  9. Well, wh gives a man what this old fool thinks?

It’s HILARIOUS! When the Pope said condoms were evil it was apparently God’s will that he was communicating. Now the Pope says condoms are sort of OK, so apparently ALMIGHTY GOD HAS CHANGED HIS MIND!

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, HA!

  10. Honestly. Who gives a damn what this old fool thinks?

It’s HILARIOUS! When the Pope said condoms were evil it was apparently God’s will that he was communicating to humankind. Now the Pope says condoms are sort of OK. So obviously ALMIGHTY GOD HAS CHANGED HIS MIND!

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, HA!

  11. Any move in the right direction can’t be bad. At least the guy is willing to accept the stupidity of the ruling which is more than JPII ever did.

The Catholic church is far from perfect, but the usual responses on here chucking brickbats, rather than welcome an albeit belated acknowledgement.

“It’s the first step of taking responsibility, of taking into consideration the risk of the life of another with whom you have a relationship.”
In fact millions of men and women, gay and straight have been taking this responsibility and considering the lives of others for the last 20 years by using condoms.
What the Pope really meant was:
“It’s the first step of taking responsibility by the Vatican, of taking into consideration the risk of the life of another who relies on the Vatican for guidance with whom you have a relationship.”

    More like a Trojan horse…..

Teh chief hater RATZInger got pregnant, had an abortion and now is trying to cover his butt.

here’s one str8 guy, a gay ally, who would be glad to f#@k that MF in his rotten butthole on worldwide tv.

Until he screamed more more , harder harder , faster faster etc.take a pix of him, put a narrow mustache on it and tell me who the church cloned to crate him

Stan James, is that offer open to the rest of us? Sounds like you know how to use your tool!

SRI actually I am a str8 married guy in the usa who understands a lot about hitlerite hatred and religious nut cases. My Jewish family had relatives from Lithuania who moved to London in the late 1800s, while others moved to the USA (moms side).

On DADs side his parents came from Minsk in Beylorussia, to argentina, back to e europe, to england then to the USA.

After wwII, contact with the relatives – my parents first cousins – was never re-established. While Hitler has yet to be Excommunciated.

I have no objection to hugging ,a nd even kissing my many gay friends on the (face :-) cheek or neck. But that is as far as it goes, except for the tens of thousands of $$$ I have spent on civil rights for gays here.

But I do believe that for religious murderous extremists our cruel and unusual punishment prohibition should be lifted.

Ever seen a tree limb grinder in operation?

Do you know where I can rent a machine to dig holes, and buy maggots by the bushel.

What was the one tool the Japanese fanatics feared during WWII.

BTW today is my birthday (kinda old) My artist son made me a card. It has a smiling puppy standing on his hind legs, holding a large cross made out of two dildos.

something I have already made and worn to the local gay bar in the large city near where I live. it brought the house down. Cost about $15 US delivered, bot on ebay.

    (Stan smiles)

My inspiration for this btw is a ultra-catholic “fixed gay”who opposes gay marriage. I’ve pressed him on the issue more and more over 2 years of monthly dinners. Strip away his veneer of civility and he is as Krazy as they come.KRAZY. The cross toy is for him. HOpefully he will have a stroke, he’s not far from a bin laden without the flying lessons.

  19. the math must have changed. The church has long looked at all the babies not being born and realized how much money the church would not get and how many fewer minds it would have to corrupt. So it opposed condoms and birth control.

Now with AIDS ravaging africa – one of the few places where the church can gain more money and more soldiers for its army, the death rate must mean that there will be more victims for the church to control if it allows condoms.

And hte church’s “protect life” campaign is both a smokescreen to hide its mass mass murders over the ages, as well as get more victims for its ideology.

  20. an aplogy for all the people who got AIDS due to the churchs no condom stand?

What do you do with genocidal mass murderers. The USA is still struggling with that one re 9/11. And we are all struglling with that one re the catholic church.

Maybe a very large rocket filled with most of the hierarchy of the church. Sent to hell – the Sun itself.

  21. I can comment on something the pope said (not really, I didn’t read the article),
but I can’t comment on Mohammed Hasnath. Huh, interesting.

  22. Just antoehr example of how the utter outrage about aids in africa and condoms was heard.

Dont worry he’ll find a lot more outrageous things to do
