  1. Quote ‘Gay sex is punished by execution, the schools allegedly teach. However, children are told that clerics are said to differ in whether the guilty person should be stoned, thrown off a cliff or burnt.’
Oh – that’s very considerate of them.

  2. Not nice… Needs looking into.

Odd to see the Daily Fail complaining about it, though. I would have thought that cutting the hands off thieves and killing gays was pretty much in line with that rag’s world view.

  3. Do they get any public money?
Notice, too, that the official mouthpieces are condemning the antisemitism but not the homophobia. Are these accurate quotes?

  4. Meredith McLaughlin 22 Nov 2010, 10:45am

I did notice the lack of comment about gays from the Saudi embassy. However, I believe that it should be pointed out that many Muslims ARE semetic peoples so, anti-semitism is NOT an accurate term in this case it is anti-Jewish specifically. While I’m not familiar with the laws in the UK governing how religious schools operate, I would be willing to guess that teaching kids how people should be maimed and killed in violation of UK law may be stretching things a bit. I’m all for religious freedom, but there is a line and it sounds as if that may be over it.

  5. ‘But I’m clear that we cannot have antisemitic material of any kind being used in English schools.’ But debating whether to throw a bunch of poofs off a cliff, stoned to death or burnt is okay is it?

  6. While people have a right to believe in what ever fable they choose they do NOT have the right to indoctrinate children. It is child abuse. We have to move away from the post-war over “protection” of religion. Like all man made institutions, religion must be watched and is not exempt from the law of the lands.
Faith schools should not be allowed.

  7. This is also on the BBC news website in the form of a video – the homophobia is mentioned once in the blurb for the video but nowhere does it say exactly what the schools are teaching children about gays.
And the government is of course so committed to tackling homophobic bullying.

  8. Brenda Lana Smith R af D 22 Nov 2010, 11:44am

I should imagine Pat Condell’s and my thoughts on these abusive Islamist text book teachings and advocates thereof are probably not that too different…

  9. Zoe O'Connell 22 Nov 2010, 11:48am

If it really is “kill gays”, I’m guessing it would fall foul of some sort of incitement legislation? If so, I expect the next thing we’ll hear about will be the police investigation – assuming of course that there’s no exaggeration whatsoever on the part of the journalists. Because they don’t do that sort of thing, ever. Honest. (Or the schools teachers really aren’t that bright and have been silly enough to teach stuff that will get them arrested)

One book for six-year-olds asks children what happens to someone who does not believe in Islam. The answer, according to the programme, is “hellfire”.

Well, if I wanted to stir, I’d point out that the Hellfire is an anti-tank missile used by US and other allied forces against, amongst others, Iraqi and Taliban forces. So it would be more accurate to say that Hellfire right now is the punishment for looking a bit foreign somewhere near an American soldier.

  10. George Broadhead 22 Nov 2010, 12:02pm

“One book for six-year-olds asks children what happens to someone who does not believe in Islam. The answer, according to the programme, is ‘hellfire’.”

There are numerous quotes from the Quran which support this.

Absolutely disgusting. They should be following British law and if they can’t and don’t like it then why be here? Apart of course from the benefits. It is totally unacceptable to allow this hatred and discrimination. Now is the time for the government to act to stop this and remind these people what country they are living in.

Part of Citizenship in this country should surely be that they accept our law and our society. Lets not forget what direction Tower Hamlets is going in with the large ‘Gay Free Zone’ posters that went up. Please also do not forget who is was Ken Livingstone broke ranks with the Labour Party to support!

I think this is a call for all LGBT. Regardless if you support Gay Prides or not the message of UK Gay Pride events needs to be heard. We need to come together on mass and get this government to act.

Now is a good time to get equal marriage to show these people we are boss in our own country!

  12. Jock S. Trap 22 Nov 2010, 12:52pm

PinkNews hasn’t really reported this properly with comments that were said. Kinda feel that maybe Michael Goves comments have been left out for a reason but not sure why?

Michael Gove, Education Secretary said and I quote from the Metro:-

“Education secretary Michael Gove told Panorama the sentiments of anti-Semitism and homophobia were ‘inappropriate’ when it comes to educating young people. ‘That’s exactly the sort of sentiment that I think has absolutely no place in English education or in public life in Britain,’ he added.

‘I think we all recognise that any expression of homophobia and prejudice like that is totally inappropriate when it comes to educating young people.’

    C’mon PinkNews!!

  13. I want a police investigation and charges brought against those teachers who are advocating murder. If they are found guilty then they must be jailed.

And once they are released from jail they must be sent straight back to Saudi Arabia (and even if they are British citizens – they need to be stripped of their British passport – if they are advocating murder of gay people then they are stating quite clearly that they do not want to be British.)

The Qu’ran is a stupid book. So is the Bible.

  14. This shi* is scary.

I do not get why our governments consistently pussyfoot around the subject of religious education. It needs to take a hardline with anything that encourages this kind of destructive behaviour.

Strip the bastar*s of their citizenship if they’re promoting these hatefilled messages. If they complain, if there’s human rights issues involved then point out that human rights are universal and that they should not infringe on others human rights – such as gay men and women.

    Close them down.

  15. …seems they have a lot in common with catholics!

  16. We’ll probably find the syllabus is written by the archbishop of canterbury.

  17. In America of course this would be considered protected speech no matter how much society disagrees with it although I think American Jews would have something to say about it, as well as Gays.

This clearly proves that Islam is NOT a peaceful cult, never has been and never will be. I defy any islamic leading cleric in the middle east to say otherwise. One thing is certain, none of them would condemn what these children are being taught in the UK. Silence gives consent. I think the immigration laws should be changed similar to the Dutch system. All applicants must meet certain criteria before they’re allowed to enter the UK. They should be examined on issues such as sexual orientation and other social topics regarding good citizenship in the UK, including a proficiency test in civics and of course the English language and the role of British women in society. If they admit to extreme views according to their religious beliefs that dictate the killing of gays or persecution of any group, then they should be denied entry. If they want to practice their extremism, they should stay where they are. Why on earth would they want to live in the west which they hate so much?

  18. john sharp 22 Nov 2010, 2:33pm

    stop religions now
    stop religious schools
    stop these lies
all those preaching murder should be prosecuted for mass murder
do not ask me to respect any religions

  19. Surely this is can be classed as a hate crime?? distrubution of hateful material? Given its the saudia curiculum i wonder if anything will happen…….

  20. I would think this is a suitable case where the EHRC could and should take action.

(not the same dave as above)

  21. This medieval nonsense has to be nipped in the bud before these kids and the next generation of kids are encouraged to hate gays and to want them executed. The law needs to step in now! It’s against the law in this country to preach hatred against minorities.

  22. But the law won’t step in though will it? It seems that at every turn this relgious fuelled hatred goes unchallanged and even accepted by certain facets of our system that are meant to protect us.

These ‘teachings’ are wrong. They promote barbarism and violence and regardless of how peaceful many muslim men and women are they would be hesitatant in condemning this.

  23. Another huge nail in the coffin for finally banning ALL religious schools! This is an absolute outrage! These homophobic teachings have been mentioned before, but the government has so far failed to act! WHY? It not only shows up yet another religion as a harmful practice to be taught in any school, but firmly pinpoints Islam as a totally unexceptable religious evil who have the illegal audactity to teach young children the best way to cut off our hands and feet! Time to get up off our backsides and tell the government and the Islamic schools to shut up or be shut down! WE must not take this one little bit, and if the Govt does’nt act, then i want to see PRIDE AGAINST ISLAMIC HOMOPHOBIC TEACHINGS banners at next years London Pride, not this soft handed, everythings ok in the world approach, when clearly this demonstrates that everything, right in out own back garden, in most deffinatly NOT! I’m ******* ANGRY!

  24. on BBC news they showed condemnation for the hatred to jews but none for the homophobia

  25. I bet this homophobic government will allow them to continue to be homophobic towards us, so we will be used as ‘bait’ to catch the Terrorists?

  26. I get so angry when Islam is constantly referred to as a religion. That is only part of it…it is a full and all encompassing belief system. It is fundamentally a cultural way of life but also and, more importantly, a ideologically political system. This school might come under the broad banner of a ‘religious school’ but it is not a religious school in our (western) understanding of the term.
These schools should be banned. They spout demonic medieval hatred under the protection of religious belief that has no place in our tolerant society – and I believe we can be intolerant of intolerance in our society without being branded a bigot or a racist.
Can you imagine a neo-nazi syllabus (ironically very similar to the teachings of Islam) being allowed to be taught in a school in any other situation. The school would be shut immediately. The teachers arrested. The parents and children separated and the kids put into care for their protection.

  27. I agree it is time to act. Too long we’ve sat by and let ourselves be used as scapegoats. We’ve allowed ourselves to be victimised, assaulted and abused.

Where has the fire gone? It appears we’ve gotten angry in the 60’s and 70’s and then kind of died down because we’ve got some rights. Even Peter Thatchell has become more moderate in his approach to issues in this country (although I still believe he’s an amazing man).

Our safety as gay men and women should not be forfeit to allow homophobic teachings.

  28. But stripping them of citizenship won’t work as most of the teachers, probably all of the kids, would be born in the uk.

Worrying thing is this is weekend classes. during the week they spread this hatred in state schools? Wonder what happens when Sir Ian drops by with his anti-homophobia campaign? Will they be conveniently off school that day or at the back of the hall debating whether to stone, burn or drop.

  29. Now why am I not surprised? Funny how Pink News seems to have missed a little from Michael Grove’s statement. I wonder why? It wil be interesting to see if anything is done about it or if this governmnet will be to chicken to sort out these people. I think they will be to soft!

  30. Bill Perdue 22 Nov 2010, 6:06pm

Mainstream controlled media like the BBC and the rest use stories like this to justify American and English participation in the murder of civilians in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

    Religion is the enemy.

Religion is greed, ignorance and superstition.

    Religion is humankinds greatest tragedy.

Religious bigotry should be suppressed. Religious bigots who promote violence, whether judaist, christite or islamist, should be jailed.

  31. stop watching all those internet conspiracy theory sights blaming the bad old west for imaginary slaughters of civilians. Back in the real world we didn’t imagine brainwashed Islamic fundies flying hijacked planes into buildings and blowing up the London underground. And these schools are recruiting grounds for more of the same.

  32. sights? i mean sites, as in websites. going back to bed now. flu affecting my grasp of English grammar.

  33. Mihangel apYrs 22 Nov 2010, 7:05pm

my earlier post was banned, probably because I used a naughty word that shocked the dainty spirits at PN.

I admit to homophobia: I’m SCARED stiff of the deleterous impact Isalm can have on a civilised secular state

  34. Number 4, Meredith:

“I believe that it should be pointed out that many Muslims ARE semetic peoples so, anti-semitism is NOT an accurate term in this case it is anti-Jewish specifically.”

Why do people make this mistake? Anti-Semitism refers solely to anti-Jewish bahaviour, and just because some non-Jews are Semitic doesn’t mean the term is redundant. Nobody by radicals wants to change the term.

    Very very strange.

  35. I find it strange that this and other cults are afforded so much respect and the right to bigotry.

  36. Quite correct, YuriFury, and yes, it is a common and wide-spread mistake. To quote from Wikipedia: “While the term’s etymology might suggest that antisemitism is directed against all Semitic peoples, the term was coined in the late 19th century in Germany as a more scientific-sounding term for Judenhass (“Jew-hatred”),and that has been its normal use since then.”

  37. Look to see more Muslim abuse of GLBTs. NO schools should be teaching that we are worthy of death! Not Christian, not Muslim, not ANY schools. This needs to be looked into.

  38. @12, Jock S Trap, Pink nrews has reported accurately on what Michaelo Goves said in the aired television documentary. I just watched it and he does not condemn the homophobia, he may have done so but we do not hear it said on the televised version.

  39. musclelad23 22 Nov 2010, 9:08pm

Imaginary slaughter of civilians? Sorry, this is a terrible thing that has been discovered, and it sickens me it truly does… but my god rose, you a really are a total imbecile. Documented civilian death toll from iraq alone is close to 100,000 since we invaded. I infact know a gay iraqi boy whos sister was shot at point blank in front of his house, by our good ol’ allies.

Both religion and greed for resources is the cause of all evil on this wretched planet… and ignorance is the fuel.

  40. Yes, imaginary. Cooked up by people who want to incite hatred of the British and other western soldiers trying to bring some kind of sanity to those regions of the world where intolerance and bigotry are unchecked.

And calling people who don’t agree with your view imbeciles is hardly a mature response.

    1. Paddyswurds 1 Apr 2011, 11:44am

@Rose “Cooked up by people who want to incite hatred of the British and other western soldiers trying to bring some kind of sanity to those regions of the world where intolerance and bigotry are unchecked. ” What a load of utter crap…… The British are in Iraq to help the vile yanks steal Iraqui oil…end of

  41. “I infact know a gay iraqi boy whos sister was shot…”

I know a gay soldier whose comrades were blown to bits in Iraq by a suicide bomber who didn’t care how many civilians he took with him.

We can all find anecdotes. How about getting back to the point that these fundamentalist nutters are corrupting children and turning them into homophobes, anti-semites and worse.

  42. This is the sort of thing that the EHRC is supposed to investigate.

  43. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone here, yet I see that it apparently does. Islamic law/Sharia law is based on the Koran and the Sunna– whatever Mohammad did or said. And, unlike other religions, Islam cannot be reformed since it is considered God’s final word and any suggestion to change it is considered blasphemy– the idea of putting “man-made law” (the reform) above God’s law (Sharia law). So, as much as many here might have a thing about Christians, for instance, Christians will not stone you or hang you or wish you dead. They may believe you’ll end up in hell but that’s about it. They certainly won’t try to get you there any sooner and believe that God doesn’t command them to kill you. Islamic law calls for the execution of gays.

The PC liberal crowd has been ignoring the plight of gays who live in Muslim lands for years now. This teaching here IS NOT NEW and will NOT stop because Muslims will never teach that anythign in the Sharia is wrong. This isn’t an incorrect interpretation of sharia law; this IS sharia law. Women are also permitted to be abused. Adulterers are to be killed. Girls as young as six (and sometimes younger) can be married. Thieves are to have their hands cut off the first time, and then the opposite foot the second time. This is brutal and archaic, but it doesn’t just include gays. Islamic law calls for the deaths of all Jews and all Christians eventually and sharia law states we are in a state of war (dar al Harb) until the entire world is under islamic rule (dar al Islam). Only then, according to Islam, can there be peace.

The only country where gays can live completely freely in the Middle East is Israel. Yet, I have seen many many gays marching with the Palestinians and Hamas and at other pro-Islam rallies against Israel. Does this make any sense? It doesn’t to me. To liberals, brown skin equals oppression. Yet, Islam is an ideology, not a race. And, contrary to what you may believe, it’s not even really a religion, although it obviously has a religious component. Islam is an entire way of life. Nobody cares about the religious component– who really cares how they pray? I don’t. What we should care about is their political ideology and how non-Muslims are to be treated. And, across the board, non-Muslims– including gays, Jews, Christians, Hindus, etc.– are all to be treated really very badly. There is no Golden Rule in Islam although there are a few verses that are usually thrown out to prove that there is. These verses, however, are always out of context and apply only for how Muslims are to treat other Muslims. Throughout all the doctrine, Muslims are to further Islam by whatever means necessary and further sharia law by whatever means necessary. If this means killing Jews and gays and Christians to further Islamic law, then so be it.

Not all religions are equal. While you may not like any religion, there is only one that mandates your death. Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization and is not peaceful. All immigration should cease.

  44. So where are all the liberal minded supporets of the msulims today then ??
After reading and hearing about this crap in the media and on tonights panorama there is NO EXCUSE for us to accept/integrate with the murdering scum who want to kill all us gays
People really need to wake up to this menace abd believe that islam is NOT a loving faith and all muslims have their own agenda, particulary when it comes to gays.
I get sick to the stomach every time i haer about people bleating about muslims rights and all the fuss that goes with it….simple solution, ANY of them who are aginst the true values and cultures that we as Britons have have NO RIGHT being in this country at any cost and the education system should now be looking at closing these schools which are concerned in these issues

  45. Peter In Brisbane 23 Nov 2010, 2:46am

This homophobia was mentioned on the OZ ABC today as well as the anti semetic tirade. Ya wanna get some good English kulture into those lazy time wasters. The’re praying all day and not building up the country, must take em all day to get out of them- there tents they wear. Learn em all about Cpt. Hornblower, Oscar Wilde, Godiva. Yeah, wat about the majic of Rumplestilzkin?? Rumple can do all the things Alla can do and more. He can turn mountains into gold. Don’t know about virgins though, seems he didn’t get on with the last chick he met. Last we heard of im, he was swallowed up by a big crack.

  46. Jock S. Trap 23 Nov 2010, 8:29am

    @ Pavlos

You can’t blame Michael Gove from what the BBC cuts. I mean what did you expect, it is the BBC after all!

Fact remains that most newpapers quoted what actually said and that, that I quoted. PinkNews had a responsiblity to report what was said Not what suits!

It’s like reporting about the disgusting UN backstep that may lead to gay executions, PinkNews really should have posted with the story who voted what rather than leave it to us. It is important afte all!

Anyway back to this story, I watched it too and was disgusted that the BBC yet again seems to what to exclude LGBT people yet again!

Seriously why do we have to pay a TV licience if they keep on insisting LGBT aren’t important.

  47. Decieving non-Muslims (kuffars) by lying for Islam is a concept called taqiyyawhich is explained and recommended in the Koran, it is practised by muslims in UK and is part of the mainstream religion.
It is not a racist view but simply a fact that as a kuffar or non-Muslim you must always question what you are told by a Muslim or by representatives of Muslim organisations because of taqiyya.

  48. The word “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

Falsehoods told to prevent the denigration of Islam, to protect oneself, or to promote the cause of Islam are sanctioned in the Qur’an and Sunna, including lying under oath in testimony before a court, deceiving by making distorted statements to the media such as the claim that Islam is a “religion of peace”. A Muslim is even permitted to deny or denounce his faith if, in so doing, he protects or furthers the interests of Islam, so long as he remains faithful to Islam in his heart.

  49. Surely it is a bit one sided to attack Islam for teaching their kids over the weekends that gays should be executed when the christian church teaches kids on a Sunday that gays should be executed. Sure chiristians try to mitigate it with some babble from the NT about throwing the first stone but when it comes to Pride I don’t see that on the banners of the christians all I see is gays should be killed and are going to hell (hellfire)

I don’t think what is being taught to Saudi kids is any different to what our own fundies teach, look at the impact they have had in Uganda.

  50. Let’s all paint a pictire of Mohammed in protest

  51. john sharp 23 Nov 2010, 4:02pm

can we once and for all arrest these hateful people
    they are criminals
should i start a religion that states all MUSLIMS should be stoned to death
    why so much hate

  52. Sorry Pavlos, I can’t take what you say as the truth. I can’t for one second believe that every muslim in the world is there to promote their religion, lie to further their own cause and hate everyone who is non-muslim, gay or Jewish. I actually think it’s slightly unfair and absurd to suggest that. I know many muslims that have been indoctrinated into their faith and have turned their backs on it as they’ve gornw older, or who still practice and have no issue with gay men and women.
I know that the Qu’ran was written within the context of war but then many religious texts throughout history were there to unify one side against a common enemy and promote stability and unformity – take Roman Catholicism as an example.
However, what these kids were taught was barbaric – and the law in this country should step in and bring it to its knees. It won’t – it’s too scared of seeming un-PC.
The best thing that we as gay men and women can do it write to our MP’s, write to the BBC, get on YouTube and get active. If we sit back and let this rubbish contiune then we’re failing ourselves.

  53. Danny I didn’t suggest every Muslim person would be out to be deliberately deceptive but still the concept of Taqiyya ( lying for Allah is) very much being put to use to dupe the Government and it’s watchdogs like ofsted.
the paragraph in the article that reads…
“The Saudi ambassador to the UK said it had nothing to do with the schools and condemned the “dangerously deceptive and misleading” use of historical texts on Jews.”
… is an immediate example of taqiyya being employed.

  54. Mihangel apYrs 23 Nov 2010, 7:25pm

    David G

it’s not Saudi kids being taught to hate and kill gays, it’s UK kids bein taught this s*t

It’s close to inciting murder and ought to be treated thus.

The overwhelming majority of Xians do not preach murder, though they may think we’re going to hell

  55. To Jock S. Trap –
When and where did these “Gay free zone” posters go up in Tower Hamlets?!? Jeez, if I see any i’ll pull them down…what a frustrating thought.
So much for intellectual evolution being linear. Presumably there a wasn’t a way of tracing the people who put them up?

I completely agree on the gay pride front. We need more of an united front, and one that is inclusive, not just the LGBT community, but the wider community that we are ALL part of. Peter Tachell’s campaign is excellent, I hope it receives the mainstream media exposure that it needs and should ethically and logically get. The fact that we are still having to use the word “equality” and actually need to be fighting for it, in a developed and educated country, in 2010 is disgusting enough, without having hatred incited verbally and through written materials distributed through some areas of these, and our, communities.

  56. If you’re a homosexual, Jew or just a non-muslim that lives in Europe I would fear for your lives. Remember far-right groups might not want to get married but they sure as hell don’t want any of this happening

  57. I am straight & married. Let me tell you that I’d much rather live in a gay world than an Islamic one!!!!

  58. TruthbeTold 24 Nov 2010, 8:30am

Despite British people being openly critical of Christianity (and rightly so), as evidenced by a recent visit of the Pope, it is absolutely astonishing how criticism of Islam is utterly taboo. Islam, for Muslims, is beyond criticism; to criticise or question ANYTHING said or done by ‘the prophet’ is tantamount to apostasy. But why should that be the case in England?

If any of you think that there is ANY similarity between the teachings of Mohammad and those of Christianity, and especially those of Jesus, you are sorely mistaken. While Christianity has a very dark legacy, the key difference between the two religions is that Jesus never condoned killing or persecution of any kind. Mohammed embodied it. Islam is a litany of the most barbaric beliefs and practices the world has ever seen, and their prophet must rank as one of the most reprehensible human beings who ever lived. It is a wonder that this religion ever succeeded in taking hold let alone being allowed to propagate in the West. No man in human history could ever surpass Mohammed in barbarism and cruelty and few could equal him.

Read the Koran. Don’t take my word for it – Go. And. Read. The. Koran. Muslims claim Islam is the The Religion of Peace (in Arabic Islam means Submission) but you’ll notice they never recommend that anyone go and read their ‘sacred’ book. They’ll tell you that you cannot have an opinion on Islam because you don’t understand Arabic; they tell you you’re taking things out of context; or ‘cherry picking’ the bad bits. Go and read the Koran and if you’ve got the stamina read the four accepted hadith (Islamic ‘gospels’) and you will wonder how it was you ever thought Islam was anything other than the diabolical rantings of a madman.

Islam turned the peace loving and ingenuous Cat Stevens into a narrow minded zealot who was prepared to advocate the murder of Salman Rushdie (

    A few things to consider:

Mohammed HATED Jews and despised Christians and exhorted his follows to kill or subjugate them (

Mohammed’s teachings and the philosophy of Islam is so replete with Jew hatred (referring to them as ‘apes’ and ‘pigs’) that it led Winston Churchill to equate it with with Mein Kampf. When you hear about terrorism and hatred being perpetrated in the name of Islam, do not make the mistake of thinking that these people are hijacking or misinterpreting Islam’s teachings; rather, they are following Mohammed’s example to the letter.

An understanding of Jew hatred in the Koran would also help give you a more balanced view of the conflict in the Middle East and the sometimes brutal conduct of Israel, who have lived under Islamic subjugation (dhimmitude) for close on 1400 years.

Do not make the mistake of overlooking Mohammed’s atrocities by virtue of the maniacal historical figures who preceded and followed him: judge his conduct by the prophets of God who came before him (think Jesus or Buddha) and after him (Nisargadatta Maharaj; Eckhart Tolle; Byron Katie).

Mohammed married his favourite wife (he had 11 as well as numerous concubines) Aisha, at the age of 6, and had sex with her at 9 (Muslims would tell you this was a common practice at the time… it wasn’t, and even if it was, bear in mind that this man was meant to be a prophet of God).

Mohammed demanded the killing of homosexuals.

He demanding the killing of anyone who left Islam.

He believed women were ‘deficient’ (his own words) and their testimony is regarded as half as valid as that of a man (numerous texts insult women and advocate the repression and beating of women).

Mohammed condoned the rape of female captives.

Mohamed condoned slavery and used the slave trade for considerable financial reward.

Mohammed hated the arts, especially music and painting, and advocated horrible torments for artists and musicians in hell; he also forbade the drawing of any human or animal figures (not just his own effigy), this is the reason why Islam developed such proficiency in calligraphy, and why they take exception to drawings of Mohammed.

The only way to be assured of a place in paradise is to die in the cause of Islam. Have you ever wondered why Buddhists, Christians, Jews, Hindus are not blowing themselves up in the name of their God?

In order for Mohammed to justify the contradictions between his early message of peace (when he had a few dozen followers) and his later exhortations to violence (when he had thousands), was to develop the system of abrogation. Being illiterate, Mohammed had a tendency to contradict himself, as his teachings were not written down and were largely geared toward his own political ambitions. While Mohammed’s followers were largely illiterate, bloodthirsty mercenaries (like himself), they were quick to point out his gross contradictions on many subjects, especially concerning war and peace. Mohammed addressed this conveniently by abrogating (annulling) earlier statements with later statements. This meant that oft quoted peaceful passages from early on in Mohammed’s life (about 10) were replaced by myriad exhortations to violence in the name of Allah (literally hundreds), also known as Jihad.

The great majority of references to Jihad refer to waging war. Early Islam was spread in the Arabian Peninsula solely by holy wars (Jihad). Islam was propagated as a religion by jihad: 78 historic battles were fought by Muhammad himself, of which only one (The Battle of The Trench) was defensive.

A hundred years after the death of Mohammed, Islam had conquered by the sword (jihad) North Africa, the then Christian Egypt, Persia (Zoroastrian), Byzantium, Spain, Portugal, portions of Eastern Europe and were ravaging the churches and monasteries of France before they met Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours, in 732. Just think of it! 732, exactly 100 years after Mohammed’s death and Islam, the so-called ‘religion of peace’, using jihad, so-called ‘inner struggle’, had almost conquered Europe and obliterated Christianity from the earth.

The Battle of Tours was one of the most decisive battles in history as it stopped the advance of Islam in Europe, which was hell bent on eradicating Christianity (It had already subjugated the Jews) and setting up the World Islamic Order decreed by Mohammed: Dar al-Islam. The defeat at Poitiers was the first decisive defeat for the Muslims at the hands of the Christians. This was to be followed by the Reconquista in Spain (910 – 1492) and the Crusades (1096-1297), which finally recaptured Europe from Islamic conquest.

The Koran is very clear: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden – who do not practice the religion of truth (Islam), being of those who have been given the Book – until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled.” (Koran 9.29)

Know your history, and most of all, read the Koran. Have a look at Islam’s contribution to the world, and have a look at what Islamic states of today have to offer. Be grateful for the brave men of Tours, and do not take your freedom for granted…

  59. Let’s get a bit of perspective on this. 90% of Muslims in the UK are moderate Shia’s.
It is the Sunni sect, driven and funded by the Saudi Arabians that is responsible for the hard line extremism, which is even being taught in our schools.

Where do you think Al Quaed’a money comes from? Or the Taliban? Or the Iraqi separatists? Governments will have a pop at most countries, yet Saudi is conspicuous by it’s absence of any criticism. Why? Because they are floating on oil and no politician that wants to keep their job will ever say a word about that despicable bunch of heathen, tasteless towelheads with money to burn.

Hey hypocrites – where was the outrage when the hate language focused on killing Jews? There was none in the UK and in Europe. But now they mention gays and you want the schools shut down. Sadly, in the US, most liberals and gays side with Islam/Arabs against the Jews.

  61. Come on, now people. Up until the 1960’s, you could go to prison IN THIS COUNTRY for being gay! The pope still spouts forth that we’re all doomed to burn in hell. Yet he’s wasn’t prosecuted on his recent visit. Why? Because your elected representatives changed the law so he couldn’t be. You cannot expect a totally paternalistic religion, which continues to oppress women, to move into the 21st Century, now can you? The ONLY way attitudes within religions will change is by force of law. Complaints should be made to the police and the perpetrators of this homophobic bile, prosecuted. Eventually, this tiny minority of fundamentalists will be silenced. And we can all move on without any more religious hate-mongering.

  62. Why is that still legal?

As a true Muslim and believer im condemning this… our religion is flexible enough but no space for such rubbish… there is a detailed chapters in our religion book THE NOBLE QUR’AN in which you will find the story of ” People of LOT” who were involve in the same sin “The Homosexuality”, they all were destroyed b’coz of homosexuality…. Anatomy of anus is not fit for sexual act…. biology. Anus is endodermal in origin so its wound never heals. So, it becomes quite unnatural to get into anus. People find it disgusting to insert and move about the male executive organ into the anus, which serves to discharge the faeces.

It’s all right to insert the same organ into the vagina, which serves only to void urine, discharge menstrual blood and various other defilements, and eject the occasional baby followed by the after-birth.There is no place for homosexuality Islam. There is no place for same sex marriage in Islam either. And there is definitely evidence of this ban in the Qur’an.
