“A funeral home in Cologne, Germany, caters for gay people with a “sensitive” service and rainbow coffins. (…) They also offer rainbow coffins and caskets printed with erotic imagery, one of which is currently on display in the funeral home’s window.”
It doesn’t sound very “sensitive” but I don’t suppose there’s anything wrong with going out with a swish.
And ignited fumes from poppers are used at the local gay crematorium. *sob*, its what he would have wanted. Might be difficult selling those funerals to total bottoms though? How many of them wanted to end up in a deep hole when they were alive?
Rainbow coffins sound really cool. We don’t have anything like (to my knowledge) over here. Our coffins are very traditional and boring. I looked at their website http://www.koenigsfeld-brandl.de/ and they have pictures of coffins which have been signed by family members and loved ones, including pictures people have drawn. The paint and paint brushes were sitting on top, ready to go. They didn’t have any pictures of the rainbow ones however.
Anyway, I love that! Maybe by the time I die, we will have loosened our funeral traditions enough to feel comfortable doing things like that. I’d love to be buried in a rainbow themed coffin. lol

Sensitive? Or over-the-top camp? Each to his/her own, I suppose.
