    3:41 PM — The Gibraltar Supreme Court is considering whether the age of consent for gay men is discriminatory. The territory currently allows lesbians and heterosexuals to have sex at 16, but the age of consent for gay men is 18. Anal sex is illegal between men and women.

    3:00 PM — A lesbian official at a Catholic university in Illinois claims she was fired after announcing her wedding in a local newspaper. Laine Tadlock, 60, says that her bosses at Benedictine University in Springfield were aware that she was a lesbian but fired after she announced her marriage.

    12:01 PM — Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez has urged gay footballers to come out of the closet. The player told German magazine Bunte that homosexuality was a "taboo topic" in sport, Die Zeit reports
