Hypocrites! This is only because the white, middle aged TV execs in the US love a bit of girl-on-girl action. It will be well into the 22nd century before we see two male partners on Strictly USA, mark my words!
Whilst it’s true that seeing a male couple on Dancing with the stars, I think it’s still good that Portia is really doing this and that ABC would allow it.
There is still a significant section of US society that will not be happy about this, but frankly that’s all the more reason to do it.

Which just goes to show how discriminatory the BBC is. All we get is some old-fashioned (pre-1985) “mad, bad or dangerous to know” lesbians on the digital channel for young marrieds, while peak time on the main channels behaves like we don’t exist.
And the corporation has the nerve to demand exception from the public sector equality duty of the Equality Act (which requires that public bodies promote equality). And Labour immediately promised it to them.

Is bitchiness like that appropriate when considering opportunities to get decent, equal representation into the living rooms of millions at prime-time? She would, doubtless, be a big attraction.

“…seeing a male couple on Dancing with the stars IS STILL A LONG WAY OFF ” Is what I meant to say!
