Excellent demonstration of defiance. Appropriate too – pure lip-service. Poor soul it must have made him feel terribly jealous, all those people being true to themselves, demonstrating their love and affection in public, all those things that make us human, which as a Roman Catholic and a Ratzinger he’s been denied.
