  1. Our politicians here are truly awful. Gillard is not religious but can give no reason for her position – we are left to assume that she is simply a bigot – or could it be that she places politics above good governance. The Opposition leader Abbott is a Roman Catholic conservative who has stated publically that he finds gay people threatening. His party has never enacted any laws even recognising the existance of gay people – except that if one partner is gay relationship is suspected of being a terrorist, the the other can also be arrested. Any they expect us to vote for them!

Here here Peter – you are so correct!!!!

It is 2010 for **** sake, not 1910!!!!!

Also always vote properly for either the Independents or the minor party third force called the Greens to send a message to the politicians!!!!!!

Please do not ever vote or get sucked-in by the major Liberal and Labor parties (they are both basically the same thing, only hiding the fact they they act differently under a different brand – much like Coca Cola and Pepsi) – they always fall for the same thing and major reforms or change NEVER happens in Australia!!!!!

    That’s just my opinion anyway!!!!!

The Sex Party, The Australian Democrats, The Greens, The Secular Party of Australia and some Independent politicians SUPPORT same sex marriage!!!!!

    Don’t count on it.

Certainly not while the backstabbing, hypocritical, and not-so-honorable Ms Julia Gillard (Labor) is Prime Minister. She is an atheist who supports discrimination for purely political reasons. And she actually has the audacity to say so quite openly. Not that her conservative opponent, Tony Abbott, is any better mind you. He is an intolerant and fanatical Catholic of the Mel Gibson variety. The Australian federal government doesn’t even allow its gay and lesbian citizens to marry overseas. It refuses to issue a certificate of no impediment to marriage if the applicant intends to marry someone of the same sex.

    It is really quite sad.

But Australia has really become America Jr. in many ways.

Julia Gillard’s Pearls and black dress, Tony Abbott’s liberal Party, Pin Strips Suits. Run for your life! If these types arrived at your door in an expensive car and dressed like that, would you buy from them?
These new, professional, Career Politicians are not interested in fixing the problems of Australia, they are only interested in staying in power, supporting their careers and FAT Superanuation payouts.

Politicians in the past had an honest job as well as serving the country.
Julia Gillard reminds me of the mean-spirited and over-bearing Margaret Thatcher, whilst Tony Abbott’s brain has been crippled by Roman Catholic SEXUAL GUILT.
Sorry, can’t vote for any of them. Second rate Pollies are not good enough. Our only option is to vote for the Greens, Sex Party, Secular Party and Independents, and a new election is coming soon.
In the meantime, we can always run amok and chain ourselves to the furniture of local Births, Deaths & Registery Offices.
We don’t like these new Ivy League, University Career Politicians!!! They are setting themselves up as the new Ruling Class. GAG!
ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR! READ THAT GRUBBY, GRASPING POLLIES!!

  7. Peter from Brisbane, you and I need to meet for coffee and a chat one day because we certainly share very similar political views and opinions! However, Adelaide is a long way from Brisbane! lol

    Thanks Brenton from Adelaide.
Obviously These Politicians are great public speakers but very poor managers!!

  9. Labour and Liberal should get their heads out of the sand and realize that this is 2010 not 1810
