Broadcaster Clare Balding and her civil partner Alice Arnold will hold a women’s golf challenge to raise money for gay equality charity Stonewall.

Funds raised from the one-day event on September 27th will benefit the charity’s work on tackling homophobic bullying in schools.

The challenge will be held at Foxhills Golf Course, Surrey.

The couple said: “As keen golfers, we thought this was a perfect opportunity to raise awareness of Stonewall’s campaign and to enjoy a day out making new friends and facing new challenges (be they bunkers or water hazards!).

“We do hope that as many of you as possible will come to share the day with us.”

The 18-hole golf challenge includes breakfast on arrival, champagne and strawberries, a meal at the end of the day and a prize for the best team.

There will also be a spa package for friends and partners who are not golf fans. Both the golf challenge and the spa are open to women only.

The day costs £275 for individuals, or £995 for a team of four women golfers. The spa package is £150 per person.

Bookings can be made by emailing [email protected] or call 020 7593 2294.
